Baahmy Army 0 Posted December 3, 2006
http://www.apwj49.dsl.pipex.com/conference/tamworth.htm#What''s%20The%20Ground%20Like?says away end hols 1,200 people
I wouldn''t like to be in there with 1,999 others, it''s a bit of a squeeze!.Last year Stoke were limited to 850 in the terrace and a few more in the seats, mind you they have got more of a...errr...reputation! Baahmy Army 0 Posted December 5, 2006
what do you mean by a reputation??
There''s a bit of bad blood between Stoke and Birmingham City fans apparently. Tamwortis a bit of a traditional Brummie overspill area nad has a lot of Blues fans, there was talk of Blues fans using the game as an excuse to have a rumble! Nothing happened in the end but the police were wary and cut the numbers allowed to attend accordingly, presumably to make it easier to keep the fans apart in case of trouble. Black sheep TFC 0 Posted December 5, 2006 All the info you hopefully need about Tamworth is here on the official site - www.thelambs.co.ukour (unofficial) forum is here -www.tamworthfans.co.ukThe Conference Forum, all clubs chat on - http://www.confguide.com/cboard.mplThe postcode for the Lamb multimap/tom tom is B77 1AA So you can realise we''re not actually in Birmingham (as insulting as saying you''re Ipswich!!!)the official supporters club site which is very new is -http://www.tamworthfans.co.uk/TFCSC/and a new fundraising webshop has just been set up here -http://www.buy.at/tfcscSadly, recently the fanzine ceased, but you can order copies here for a giggle - http://4bleats.freeservers.com/Our town council site (with plenty of general tourist info) is here -http://www.tamworth.gov.uk/The local rag - http://www.tamworthherald.co.uk/The link for the normally excellent pub guide doesn''t seem to be working right now www.tamworthpubguide.co.uk/ but worth keeping incase it gets rectified.Pubs for pre-match I''d suggest - Spoons, (The Bolebridge)no explanation needed, opposite Odeon cinema, on edge of town closest to LambThe White Lion - pool & big screen, couple of guest ales, juke box. (may have food by then) corner of Lichfield street by council offices, lot of TFC fans in hereSir Robert Peel - real ale (no food, rarely have big screen on) pedestrianised area, past William Hill and Yates Lot of TFC fans in hereTweedale Arms (opposite train station) B&B and big screenAlbert Hotel (also near the station in Albert Rd) B&B Good home cooked food, darts, pool, real aleAll 10 mins walk from the groundcan''t miss the usual Yates etc in town too.Avoid parking/drinking in Glascote (under the arches) as sadly the further you go up this road, the closer you are getting to Beiruit (Glascote Heath/Amington/Stonedelph) There''s parking for £1 a car at the Lamb, or across the road at the Snowdome when full.Enjoy your visit (but not too much)ps - Only culenary skills you''ll enjoy is our famous "tea bar" at the away end, all other conference clubs applaud it - yet we never get the chance to experience it. Enjoy!

Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Let''s hope our team don''t go like "lambs" to the slaughter in this match. You never know, if Etuhu and Robinson are feeling a liitle bit "sheepish".
