You pay your money and you are entitled to do as you please as a supporter within reason so the Manager was wrong and made a mistake in his comments-He probably knows this.

The problem lies not with the passion of the crowd but the passion of the players. There is a lack of honesty with them and a lack of appreciation of how fortunate they are to pursue such a wonderful career. They are paid alot of money to deal with criticism and it appears they are not mentally strong enough to succeed. They are cheating themselves as well as the public.

Change the pay structure based on performance instead of just turning up, no points no pay. I get paid on results do you?

what worries me is that grant thought the players gave a performance with passion and commitment so we the supporters are to blame.

from where i sat i saw very little passion and commitment.

Sorry but I when is this sort of attitude going to stop?

I go to watch a good game if it isnt then it my right to moan and winge and do anything BUT support my team?

Its about time that people realised that Worthington is gone and that if they want to see progression on the pitch they are going to have to recreate the atmosphere of the champions/promotion season.

Its not even that people turn up, cheer then whinge because the players don''t respond. People turn up, refuse to cheer unless they see something decent to cheer about and then end up not cheering at all instead throwing insults.

Progression? Maybe the fans need to progress on from last season let alone the players.

We went 1-0 up, we''re hanging on there at the end, they''re giving it all they''ve got and it cost us - because I think they were scared to put the ball into corner in case they were criticised for it,"

Fair point, whenever Worthington’s teams tried to run down the clock there would be howl''s of derision from some sections of the support. I never thought this got to the players though. I have asked this before, are there any posters who sit near the technical area that can tell me the sort of "advice" the manager gets from the fans in those areas. My seat is in the Lower Barclay and it would have to be really quiet for anyone to hear my advice!

"You talk about passion and commitment and everything else - I though we got that in abundance. Which we didn''t have last week.”

How do you measure passion and commitment, it’s not a stat like shots on goal. I was there and that performance was not full of passion for me. These comments criticising the fans are passionate, as is the fans reaction toward the manager. I really felt it was up to the players to do something to lift the fans after last Sunday and it never happened much like it never happened in the previous home game. There was a good passionate performance amongst all this at WBA but only a couple of thousand fans saw it.

I personally don’t take offence to PG''s comments but then I never did with Worthy either. Maybe he is just trying to build up a siege mentality in an attempt to make the players play to his instructions. A good passionate performance and three points against Leicester would be much better than any apology for me.

chicken, maybe thats true about progression but surely these players should have changed their attitudes now there is a new manager instead of the current couldnt careless attitude of some? surely whilst the supporters have a role to play in getting the team going the same has to apply to the players and start playing like they care not just going through the motions?
