canarytim 0 Posted October 30, 2006 CANARYTIMIt is a amazing that after only our first defeat there is so much doom and gloom about the place.Yes I think the manager got it wrong by playing people in unfamiliar roles, but with Saf, Earnie & Hucks out it was always going to be a very difficult game. Especially up against a player of Hendrie`s class. But the manager is not responsible for the sparcity of our squad, either in numbers or quality, that firmly lies at the previous managers door.(or board)I also think away from home the players still have Nigel`s safety first , lets sit back mentality ingrained in their heads.I hear a couple of loan players could come in this week and although usually I don`t like loanees at the moment beggars can`t be choosers. Personally I do not think anyone should judge Peter Grant`s management until at least this time next year and to be fair it could be even longer.

Canary02 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Agreed. As the old saying goes "You can''t polish a t**d", and we''re left with a squad the size of a snails tadger at the moment. Grant needs time to undo Worthington''s follies.
