lucky green trainers 0 Posted October 30, 2006 waking upto radio broadland this morning, i expected to hear PG''s latest commnets re stoke. instead, to my horror i heard a match report celebrating ipswich''s 5-0 drubbing of luton, together with the unintelligible post match comments of jim mag. feeling decidely nausous at hearing a rich ulster brogue again, i pined for PG''s quickfire glaswegian observations.after chandler sent up PG''s accent last week, has radio broadland been on the receiving end of carra rd displeasure, and decided to extract revenge by censoring city reporting in favour of ipswich match reports?if so, chandler has gone too far - broadland is a city station, and while tolerating his ipswich leanings in good humour, an attempt by the station to play mind games with carra rd officials is OTT.get it sorted broadland. macdougalls perm 0 Posted October 30, 2006 I don''t think he should be able to work for Broadland with his attitude. Actually, what am I saying, it is the worst station in the world (apart from a couple of right wing Christian stations in Kansas) and I never listen to it so I couldn''t care less!! If you listen to it more fool you.
charlies dad 0 Posted October 30, 2006 The answer is simple. don''t'' listen to it. It''s crap anyway, and there are hundreds of radio stations to pick from. Why listen to this inane, pathetic excuse for a radio station at all. If enough people boycotted the thing, chandler would get the sack. a warm and pleasant thought, which, in a small way improves my mood this morning.
Herb 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Does anyone actually listen to Broadland?Cheesy presenters, cheesy music, cheesy adverts.Chrissie Jackson must be about 75 by now.
komakino 282 Posted October 30, 2006 Radio Broadland is a poor station full stop. It is stuck in the 1980''s, as Rob Chandler''s continued exsistence shows. Why Chandler is still on the airwaves is a mystery - it would be better if he worked for a station that was much nearer Portman Road so they could be subjected to his ''hilarious'' antics every morning.I''d advise everyone to give Broadland a wide berth, whether you are talking sport or anything else. gary 0 Posted October 30, 2006 you do have a choice in the matter - there are two other local stations ( Both with little or no mention of our "friends" ) Radio Boredland lost me as a listener a long while ago and are unlikely to ever get me back - I grew tired of the constant Look at me , aren;t I great attitude of the presenters as well as teh sport for a Norwich station that concentrated on a team 45 miles away Retune your dial and move away - you will happier in the long run
jetstream 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Sad isn''t it?We have Radio Snorfolk (stuck in the 1970s) and Radio Boredland (stuck in the 1980s)I''ll stick to 5Live, thanks, apart from when the Away match commentary or Canary Call is on (and even then it is under duress - Adams out! Hucker In!)
Fat Barman 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Although 5Live is my station of choice, there are some presenters that I can''t bear (Campbell & Mayo - couple of self-righteous t0ssers!).For music (when not in classical mood) I like the mix on Radio Norwich 99.9 fm and, if I''m getting in touch with my inner yoof, Vibe on 106.1 fm.Chandler is what he is - he''d be amusing if he were a City fan on some Binner station! Mello Yello 2,572 Posted October 30, 2006 Chandler has the haircut of a sub-standard eunuch - and Chrissie Jackson is the only person that laughs at his ''jokes''.Radio Boratland is mainstream - and on a continuous repetitive loop, playing the same, morose middle of the road moosic.I would rather hum a funeral dirge to myself.......than listen to that tosh.Radio Naarfalk is the way forward............relieves my insomnia.[|-)]

Evil Monkey 52 Posted October 31, 2006 Manchester isn''t enough miles between me and Chandler...It is, however, close enough for XFM Manchester, which rocks and is indeed the future!
AP16 0 Posted October 31, 2006 I''m sorry but Radio broadland is the most backward radio station on the planet. It''s a bloody joke.

Fat Barman 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I thought Talksport was full of ex-binners, like ''We all hate'' Alan Brazil? Always seem to hear Ippo cronies on the station when I tune in - bad as Boredland IMO. [:)]
ca 1 Posted November 1, 2006
Might be worthwhile complaining to this guy about him steve.martin@Gcapmedia.com Got his details from the Broadland website.
I was bored so I wrote, this was my reply Although our studios are in Norwich, Radio Broadland has always since it''s launch broadcast to Norfolk and north Suffolk. Our focus over those 22 years has predominantly been NCFC, but we do have a good many listeners in the south of our area who are ITFC supporters, so we give some coverage to ITFC. Supporting a football club means there are always good weeks and bad weeks. Rob & Chrissie simply reflect how fans of both teams are feeling, presented in the very light-hearted style for which they are known in the area. It has long been known that Rob''s team is ITFC, but to be fair he rarely pushes his interest and is actually more likely to be on the receiving end of jibes from his co-hosts on the show, and NCFC fans on the text/phones. As for our commitment to NCFC, we currently have tickets to give away on our website for every home game which no other local station has. We are the sole media partner for the half-time Crossbar Challenge and give away tickets for this on our mid-morning show. And we are the only radio station which runs a "Fan of the Season" competition with the backing of the club itself. Our presenter Gary Stevens is also the club''s chosen Matchday Announcer. Thanks for getting in touch - it''s always good to hear from listeners about how our shows are being received.
thanks for making the effort angel - seems a reasonable pr type thing reply.funnily enough, PG was back on broadland this morning and the missus commented that she was beginning to get used to his accent - next breath, chandler reckoned the same thing, saying he could understand at least 2 of granty''s words. chandler is annoyingly funny imo!
