Paradox 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Ok, I was having a chat with my brother the other day and we were trying to put together the best ever Norwich team. Apologies if this is a thread that has been done before, but even if it has I would love to know what the final team was. I''m only 25, so please excuse my ignorance if I leave out the stars before my era. Anyway, here is ours.....WoodsBowen Bruce Watson LinighanBarham O''Neill Crook PetersSutton Bellamy

Paradox 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Good shout with Dale Gordon - how could I forget?!!Not sure about Holt though - never really been tested in the top flight. My other team members I wanted to put in were Ruel Fox & Fashnu, but couldn''t put them above Peters (World Cup winner) or Fash over Bellers / Sutton. Cantley 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Has to be the only Norwich team I can recite from memory - Keelan, Black, Payne, Stringer, Forbes, Briggs, Livermore, Bone, Cross, Paddon, Foggo.

Mouse 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Yep I''ll agree with you DD, but there''s one small problem. I''d have to have Mulryan in there but I don''t know who for, either McVeigh or Francis. There''s no way I can exclude Holt!

ZLF 271 Posted April 9, 2004 DD yours gets my vote for the best Div 1 team ever but my all time 11, when at the peak of their powers, would be WoodsCulverhouse Bruce Watson BowenFox Crook Peters Eadie Sutton BellamySubsKeelanButterworthTownsendDrinkellReevesOf the current team Greeno clearly has the potential to become our best ever keeper so the question in a couple of years time & Hux could squeeze in too if he has as big an impact in the premier (if we make it! (OK 1st Wiz?)) as he has this season.OTBC
Old Yeller 0 Posted April 9, 2004 KeelanStringer Bruce Watson BowenSuggett Mc. Guire Paddon Eadie Fleck DaviesSubs: Woods Reeves Sutton Townsend PhelanA little unhappy about David Stringer at right back but he started there and I wanted him in somewhere. Suggett would probably throw a strop about being wide right rather than down the middle. Phelan makes the bench because of his versatility. Would love to have seen Flecky partnered by Ron davies when both were in their prime.
