Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Well, its working so well at the moment is it not..... If Peter Thorne gets an appearance and Ryan Jarvis stays on the bench I would be disappointed. But then again I am expecting to be disappointed in the coming weeks. blahblahblah 2 Posted October 6, 2006
"The difference between success and failure at this level is very, very minute so we won''t be reinventing the wheel, we will just get back to doing what we have always done.“There won''t be any major changes - we don''t have a big squad of players and barring injury we will go with the tried and trusted as we have always done."
Same players, same formation, the only difference will be the attitude of the players I suspect. Will it be enough ? Will they play for Hunter ? A good start would make his position stronger, as it did for Glenn Roeder (not that he wanted the job full-time initially) at Newcastle. Bernard Futter 0 Posted October 6, 2006 And the quotes too seem to be the same too with the bovine and antiquated ''part and parcel'' making a rapid reappearance...
Rustyboy 2 Posted October 6, 2006 I do not think he has done himself any favours by saying he will stick with things as the are. If he said he would make slight changes might have helped especially with Hucks saying yesterday "the important thing is that they have got to bring some balance to the team" (Pink''un article).Still I expect that if he wins the next couple of games he will be given the job until the end of the season. Baldyboy 1 Posted October 6, 2006 more reason why this man should definitely not get the job permanently! if thats his attitude stick with whats got us to 17th god help us! we are about to become the next version of nottingham forest at this rate!!!
First Wizard 0 Posted October 6, 2006 If thats the case then, we are relegated already!!.We urgently need a new broom Delia, not a worn out duster.I''m now a H Outer: Hunter Out!.

You''d think he would want to go in and drop the underperforming and play a few youngesters, change the formation etc
silver fox 0 Posted October 6, 2006 I cannot understand why people are surprised as Hunter, like Worthington , came from the Howard Wilkinson school of football. When you replace a manager you need to also replace those like minded assistants, and possibly some of those players who regularly came out and defended the old manager. It would be nice to think we could get Curbishley and his assistant Mervyn Day, and then we could release Hunter, Livermore and Webb.
Cluck 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Hunter won''t get the job and is just trying to put forward a united front as instructed by the board.I don''t expect anything for a few weeks....and even then it will depend on who is appointed as to whether we are able tio pull this season round.IF as Delia said on that fateful day that the supporters are the clubs'' ''extra man''........then getting us lot on board is as good as signing another player. We need a complete culture change at Carrow Road, and sadly it cannot involve Hunter.Expect the worst.....then mediocrity will be a bonus...........[:(]
Huddy 0 Posted October 6, 2006 If Deliaand co are unhappy with the current performances then hopefully this might be the final nail in Hunters hope of becoming the new boss!
komakino 281 Posted October 6, 2006 Very depressing. The team isn''t performing yet he comes out with the ''tried and tested'' routine. There is a common misconception at this club in that we have a good team. This isn''t actually true. Sure we have some talented individuals such as Earnshaw and Huckerby, but we also have some dross such as Hughes and Fleming who would not automatically start for a League one side.If no ( or very little ) money is forthcoming to the manager, I suggest we play with a mixture of youth and our better senior players. Many players contracts run out at the end of the season and many will not get new ones, so I see this season as one of transition, with a promotion push for 07/08. Jonny Raceway<P><FONT face=Tahoma><EM><STRONG>When playing Target Darts always put your best foot forward!<STRONG><EM><FONT><P> 0 Posted October 6, 2006 I don''t think we can gamble on bringing in 3 or 4 of the kids at the same time. It is likely they will require a few games to get used to the Champs and after playing form teams Brum, Cardiff and a rejuvenated QPR, we could easily find ourselves adrift at the foot of the table and in even deeper trouble than we currently are [:O]Hunter will be hoping the team that started the campaign so well can pick themselves up and regain some form and confidence in double quick fashion. An interesting 3 league games awaits us........

Northern Canary 0 Posted October 7, 2006 I think when a manager comes in to make his case, it is better to change the system and take on a fresh approach as it shows a change hopefully for the better. Sticking to the same thing is great if he gets the results i suppose, but does he have any different ideas?
Cluck 0 Posted October 7, 2006 I''m afraid it''s going to be a re-build job for whoever comes in.It''s a poor squad and to expect any promotion this season would be crazy.
