Infamy, Infamy

Curbishley available in October.

Recommended Posts

Alan Curbishley has again stated that he will be ready to return to management at the end of October. Alias Smith and Jones have given Worthy until QPR away, the 14th of October, to sort it out.....or else! Is this just a coincidence, or could it be that the board want to be amongst the pack chasing Curbishley?[^o)]
with curbs on board, city could really be ''doing a charlton''.  i think he''d rather pick a prem club anyway.
He has already said that he wouldn''t be limitted to a prem job... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/5322522.stmMaybe the Norwich post would interest him because of the constant comparison''s between Charlton''s setup and ours. Either way, I think the main thing is that that the current joker is gotten rid of first. Then seriously start to think about a replacement. I do worry though that if we win these two up and coming matches the whole sit-u-a-shun will get put on hold again...

He''s always had respect for Norwich but i''ll tell you now i''ll eat every hat in the land if he comes to us. He wants to manage England, of that there is no question. I saw an in depth interview with him with Rob Bonnet not so long ago and you could see his disappointment with the way the England debacle panned out. He and everyone else knows and says, if he wants the England job, he''s going to have to get some big team, big game experience. We''re talking Champions League here, or UEFA cup minimum. Norwich might have been an option if he''d left Charlton 5 years ago (but probably not because we were even more rubbish then than we are now), but not now.

Well Mike Basset managed Norwich and went onto manage England.

See it can be done Curbs!

I would love to see Curbishley here, but I can''t see it happening..

He left Charlton for a new challenge, presumably that of a bigger Premiership club. It is hard to see the motivation to put his reputation on the line for a championship club of similar or only slightly greater size/potential than Charlton. Hasn''t he also already turned down WBA?

Leeds perhaps, or waiting for one of the premiership jobs to come up again, Id have thought
