Evil Monkey 52 Posted September 27, 2006 Anyone concerned that Worthy will risk Huckerby this weekend in a bid to save his job? Let''s face it, McVeigh is hardly going to play out of his skin to save his manager, is he, and who can blame him?Probably just cynical, but something nagging inside suggests that maybe this is a Worthington gamble... Baldyboy 1 Posted September 27, 2006 of course he will, he has lost the plot and i wasnt surprised to see hux had a chance of playing sunday even though originally we were told after the international break would be the earliest he would be back!!
Hucka Hucka Huckerby 0 Posted September 27, 2006 You could be right. It is obvious we are a one man team & Huckerby has the ability to take Burnley apart.. If I was Worthy I''d be tempted, although if he does get injured again he''d be out for a couple of months. Worthy would never survive 2 months or more of losses!!!!!!!!! blahblahblah 2 Posted September 27, 2006 Huckerby won''t play unless he''s happy to, is my guess. I also wonder if there is a bit of smoke and mirrors about the whole statement thing, although it''s an unnecessary and high risk game for the board and worthington. Canary02 0 Posted September 27, 2006 A desperate last throw of the dice"Come on boys, get me out of this one..."If we win, we just have to hope the floating voters don''t fall for the prospect of a false dawn and jump back to KTF.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted September 27, 2006 If Worthy is still around on Sunday it will be very interesting to see who plays and how much passion they show. According to some people on here Worthy regularly falls out with players and they don''t want to play for him, Sunday could be the day we find out! Paul McVeigh has been at the club longer than Worthy has been manager, if things between them are as bad as people make out then that is a surprising statistic. If Huckerby is fit and fully behind the manager he will want to play also cuz otherwise he has the perfect oppurtunity to hide behind his injury. I don''t think Worthy is reckless with injured players, infact I don''t believe half the tripe I read about him on here. I have stated on other posts, performances on the pitch and our dismal away record are what he will ultimately be judged on, so there is no need to fuel the fire with unsubstantiated rumours and gossip. canary cherub 1 Posted September 27, 2006 My guess is that it''s another piece of spin from the club, like the Dickson v. Safs story.Hucks has no chance of playing but it''s designed to stop us thinking about the Delia situation.
