Cluck 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Ok....so Worthington has finally gone. In my view he should have gone a long time ago and forgive me for not agreeing that winning the 2nd. Division title and getting us hammered in the Premiership after that warrants such ''post-Worthington'' adulation. He did an average job with a very good club......as I feel we are far from being ''little old Norwich'' any more than it is ''little old Wolves'' or ''little old Derby''......... ''Little old Chesterfield'' I might accept. We are every bit as worthwhile as Charlton, Watford, Reading, Blackburn etc....so lets not think small.True we have no right to be a Premiership club.......or what was the 1st. Division in real money. We did ok up there on and off since going up in 1972 if you remember......so we aren''t no hopers. All this Premiership razmatazz is stuff and nonsense, as is the Championship. Changing the name for commercial reasons doesn''t change what it is....Division One and Two.We now need to see this limp board get on with what actually plays on the pitch each matchday and spend less time on Corporate leisure and gourmet cooking. Good luck to Delia for being so successful in her business....but don''t do it at the expense of OUR football club. Delia and Co. need now to start taking a back seat and returning Norwich City to what it is.....a FOOTBALL CLUB. Keep the restaurant boiling by all means, but try spending some real money on players (which we all know should be there), so that the 26,000 regular supporters can have some fun alongside the corporate diners.WO or WTF....we all want what is best for the City.......and maybe now Delia and Co know that we will we no longer be smoothed away by a celebrity smile and and a packet of spin. Sad that Worthy was left dangling so long........and the board must take alot of the blame for that.........I feel sympathy for Earnie and Croft who have walked into a tornado here........now maybe they will get the chance to shine..........THE KING IS DEAD....LONG LIVE THE KING........and all that......... lucky green trainers 0 Posted October 1, 2006 its clear that the model that got us promoted (new money via share issue) should now be employed. new money/directors should be sought. if we don''t gain promotion, then probably to retain the likes of hucks and earnie, we''d probably have to stomach a reasonable season ticket rise.
