Norwich clearly have a problem with preparation for matches and surely good preparation is vital.

The Barnsley match was how it should be, start playing at minute one; but game after game Norwich start poorly, get caught on the back foot and leave themselves a mountain to climb. It has happened for the last two seasons and is happening this season too.

Why does it need a half time talk to try and sort things out, they should have been sorted out before the game kicked off in most matches? Why is it a half time talk often sees a better second half performance, to me this indicates poor preparation as that talk should have been given at the start.

Yes, I hear you say, but teams change tactics so we don''t always know what to expect. This is true to some extent, certainly Coventry changed and they changed because they knew we could not. We have, in addition to poor preparation in terms of the opposition, poor preparation in respect of a plan B or C.

Teams will be doing to us what Coventry did and we will have no variation to cope. We have been quickly worked out by people like Mickey Adams who do prepare for a game and we are in trouble as a result.
