Canary Tyke 0 Posted April 16, 2004 Was bored at work taking flak from those round me (Don''t know why as they are all Derby and Forest fans) when they decided to work out how many miles I had done this season to follow the bhoys in yellow.Obviously was hard for them and kept them occupied most of the morning. The results though were quite scary, they have worked out that during the season I have clocked a total of approx 9210 miles so far. This includes 20 home games and 15 away games including Everton and the sunderland game that was cancelled (I went the night before)They have also informed me that with the 3 games left I have tickets for (2 home games and Sunderland game) I will clock a further 940 miles. If by miracle I get a Watford ticket an additional 200 miles and should my name come out of the hat for Crewe another 100.I am a little shocked especially as my insurance cover is only for under 10k miles a year!!I know it sounds a bit statto, but we are so bored today. I wondered how far every one else is travelling, I''ve heard of people in Cheshire and Brighton who go to most games and the Midland and Northern Canary members must clock up a few.PS does not include Holland last year and Malaysia this year!! a1canary 0 Posted April 16, 2004 At the risk of sacring you yet further, assuming a total 10,000 miles at 35mpg at £3.55 per gallon, that''s 286gl x £3.55 = £1015.Plus the important 3 ''P''s of Pints Programmes and Pies and you''re lookin at.... i''ll leave it now!
