ca 1 Posted August 5, 2006 Was reading that we''d sold all our 1700 tickets for the Leeds game and wondered with their capacity being 40,000 why we didn''t get more. I went down last Monday and there were only restricted view ones available. Also surprised to see theres still 600 tickets available for the Preston game and still 50 season tickets still up for grabs. Presume the waiting list is empty now and some people on it decided against having one.
Pete Raven 276 Posted August 5, 2006 Reduced away allocation may be due to the fact that Leeds now don''t even open half their ground due to lack of interest.
FatboySlimfast 0 Posted August 6, 2006 About 75% of our allocation was restricted view, it wasn''t really a problem, just a couple of posts holding the roof up. As for the rest of the ground the harsh reality of Leeds financial troubles was clear for all to see. The south stand was closed completely and was looking more like a spanish building site, the impressive east stand only had the lower tier open and the west stand was only about 30% full. The measly crowd of 22,000 for a club the size of leeds, on the opening day of the season, was a major dissapointment.
