as much as i hate the boring tactics, the obsession with loan signings,the slating of supporters, the pathetic attempts to defend a 1-0 lead against bottom clubs,his preference to injury proned players like duncan ferguson and peter thorne over chris sutton, and his numerous other faults i want norwich to get promoted this year. The only way for that to happen is to give the guy the first ten games, see if hes managed to admit his previous faults of the last 2 years and change tactics[ no more hoof ball to 5ft 2 earnie] and get us in a decent position and playing decent footy that we are famed for then stay behind the bloke. If however after ten games we are still hoofing the ball up to midgets and playing football as entertaining as the england world cup squad then im all for getting the bloke out. Worthy out or worthy in we need to go up this year or will go the same way as, swindon,wimbledon,bradford,forest,man city,sheff wed,qpr did when there parachute payments stopped-league 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admire your hopes but whatever way you look at it we have ''built'' a team since relegation that is not capable of doing anything this season apart form bob about mid-table. With only one new addition this team will not do anything. Same as last year, we''ll win a couple, lose a couple, draw the odd one, lose again...call for his head...then they''ll win one or two and suddenly its all ok again. Earnshaw will do an Ashton and try and jump ship to one of the strguggling Prem boys who need some firepower at Crimbo and so it goes on. We''ll bring in some more bog standard squad fillers and a couple of premiership loanee bench warmers and win a couple, lose a couple, draw a couple........its called Championship Consoldation and we have shown no ambition this summer to turn that squad into anyhting other than that. Get real, accept it, and enjoy the wins when they come and have a bitch when they don''t.........otherwise you are in for a miserable season of what ifs and buts like I had last year. Remember when Worthy came in, kicked out all the rubbish and built a good side???? well someone else needs to come in and do it again now, the squad is that bad.....managers have their time at any level.

Well being close the the ''main man'' you''ll know I don''t. So whats the answer then, is it CS to ITFC or is you brother playing a straight bat to all enquiries? May be you can answer another question that got be baffled, this groin problem CS is reported to have, what type of box does he use and does he think its a factor in the healing process, perhaps your brother could rub some deep heat into it?

yes thats a great idea, because im sure he would love the idea of every member of this forum popping up the pub to question him-then again the landlord would be more than happy. If you dont believe me then why dont you all go and watch drayton play cricket one day and ask the man sutton himself as hes made never made a secret of what ive wrote instead of this obcession you all have with my brother??????

So is the reason you can''t tell us whether CS will sign for ITFC is that your brother won''t tell you? Is your brother a bowler? I bet he''s one of those cunning leggies with a really baffling wrong''un. The thing is, some people do genuinely have their "contacts", but if they respected them enough to not reveal who they are to all and sundry, then they should also respect them enough not to ask stupid questions.

I know someone quite deeply involved in the club - I don''t know him especially well, but know him nonetheless.  But I respect his position and don''t go asking him "so, what''s the latest on so and so".  And even if I did, I wouldn''t expect him to tell me.  And even if, in the unlikely event that these two situations could happen and he told me, I''d be under oath not to go blabbing about it on the interweb, with the little "sssh, but don''t tell anyone" caveat.

why are so many people concerned about the brother of theolster. most of what he is saying is true. pete in particular seems to have a worrying obsession with this (sounds like a hint of jealousy to me).  this thread started out about worthy but has now developed into a who is the local cricketer????.

as for sutton going to ips**t, you cant blame him, he wants to be as close to norwich as he can get. imo ips**ts gain will certainly be norwichs loss.

back to the original thread, give him 10 games? i heard 5 and if either of these are true surely that tells you the board have little confidence in him. he had nearly 50 games last year and just managed a top ten finish. what should have been one of the strongest squads in the division ended up being a team no-one feared. i hope nigel proves most of us wrong and at least  makes the play offs, but i cant see it.

i''m not a worthy outer, i feel everyone deserves a fair chance and nigel has certainly had more than a fair chance.

I don''t think anyone is actually concerned about this guys brother. It''s more a case of this olster character getting peoples backs up by posting trash. An example is saying "Nigel Wothington doesn''t want a superstar at the club that will undermine him - FACT" or words to that effect and using the ''fact'' that his brother plays cricket with CS as the reason to know this. We all know this is nonsense and it isn''t appreciated. The response has been to ridicule this olster fellow because he isn''t really contributing in any way whatsoever. Olster has by doing this lost any credability on the board and until he starts to post in a sensible way he wont be taken seriously. He can by all means post in a pro or anti way, thats not the issue. The issue is the way he goes about his posts. Free speech of course but with no foundation his house of respect will crumble every time.
