Pete Raven 276 Posted July 26, 2006 Norwich City have had a bid of £600k accepted. A further £100k will be paid if we go up.Worthy has said that Croft had been to Norwich for a look around and a medical, and had now returned to Manchester to think things over. Chunky! 0 Posted July 27, 2006 I''ve seen Lee Croft a few times at Man City (my brother is a fan) a good signing - and a winger! That ticks two boxes, and 600k isn''t a bad price. Now if only it wasn''t an hour before the ticket office opens......OTBC!Chunky

Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 27, 2006 Good news, this, but it won''t be a Norwich City transfer unless it now goes on for a further three weeks.
AJ 1,358 Posted July 27, 2006 Wow, what can i say? A winger... i mean A Winger? What the hell is one of those? well, at least we know we now have enough options in teh goalkeeping position now...... [8-)]

First Wizard 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Croft will NOT sign for us, usually after a medical the deal is done, but not in this case. I smell a Birmingham or Coventry at work here!.Plus they are both nearer Croft''s home. You mark my words.

The archant "Croft on his way" headline is very misleading.I really think he''ll be off else where hence my pennant sold thread.
ca 1 Posted July 27, 2006 I agree ''''Croft on his way'''' headline is very misleading. Could someone from Archant please explain why theres no ''could'''' in there?
Cheeky Monkey 0 Posted July 27, 2006 I agree - its very unlikely he will sign. Shame - real shame.

Rossi 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Thanks CeliaWas only joking - thanks for letting the post through anyway!Optimism gets to us all before reality sets in.On a brighter note, the board has been updated much quicker recently and it''s made it a better board and a more enjoyable one.Enough grovelling?! Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 27, 2006 You tell ''em, Celia...I have my own reservations about the way in which Archant rarely ask probing questions of NCFC and just seem to be the mouth-piece for "all is well" statements. But to openly slag off such reporters, whilst posting on the boards set up by them, smacks a little of disrespect. It''s like going round someone''s house for dinner and telling them afterwards that their cooking is sh*t...But overall, I agree, I''m not overly optimistic about the chances of Croft coming here... Mr_Chimp 0 Posted July 27, 2006 As far as I understand it, book titles have to be ''approved'' by the publisher anyway, so no, it''s not that far off.
