nh_ncfc 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Canaries eye Arsenal youngsters Worthington is looking to get players in on loan Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington has approached Arsenal in his efforts to strengthen his squad for next season. He has contacted Gunners assistant boss Pat Rice, a former Northern Ireland team-mate, to check on the availability on loan of Arsenal''s fringe players. Worthington told the Eastern Daily Press: "We''ve spoken to Arsenal asking to be kept aware of any of the young players who might be available on loan. "I spoke to Pat Rice just to be aware of anyone they might have." This although could be a positive, has really annoyed me. We are still yet to sign a single player - though we already admit to needing a new fresh player for right-mid. I don''t mind allowing youth to come through aslong as we have a first time squad ready before hand! And if this is true - looks like we are going to sign some loans again. Haven''t felt like this before, but Nigel has really peed me off with this move. Let''s just hope it''s not true..
