Iwan Roberts ! - Simply because he''s a Legend, and no matter what his age, i''m confident he would keep scoring atleast for another 2-3 seaons.

Malky Makay - Great back, and we have lost alot in losing him.

Rivers - We haven''t had anyone decent in that position since then!

Svensson.

His touch, class, vision and goals are sorely missed at this level - his being on the pitch led to us passing the ball better than we have ever done in Worthy''s reign.

agreed the Svensson/Thorne swap was the most disastrous of all. Imagine if Svensson were here today to play with Earnshaw how much better we would feel. On another note how is it that Jonson can still do a job for a pretty good side like Sweden in the World Cup no less, but be turfed out of of Norwich even though he wanted to stay ??? Who do/did we have who was so much better?

I didn''t see him doing "a pretty good job". I thought he looked un-inventive, un-creative, unable to go past his man and generally unexceptional, which is exactly how I remember him here. Average.

Definitely since losing Eddie we have be woefully understaffed in the right back area.  But I seem to remember that it wasn''t Worthy''s fault - he offered him a new contract mid season and he turned it down.

I think I''d have to say that I''d mostly want a focused, non-glory seeking Damien Francis back again.

Also, I''d still welcome The Incredible Malk back with open arms.

The two who would make a difference are Svensson or Francis, particularly the swede.

Jonson is impossible to tell - he admitted he under performed for us during the prem season but by looking average for sweden doesnt that make him a premier super star given gerrard/lampard/beckhams performances in Germany?[;)]  Average for the world cup is one thing - we need considerably less in the champs and he could have made an impact here for us.

I would have loved to have seen a Svensson Ashton partnership but it was never given ago. Had Svenners been kept for last season I feel we would have seen far more from Ashton than we did. Like someone said, whenever Sven was in the side we played the best passing football we have ever done under the current manager. He was a prolific striker but towards the end of the Promotion season he showed he wasn''t just about scoring goals but bringing others into the game and setting up others. A great player who we''ve really missed. I would even go as far to say he played as big a role for us as Hucks towards the end of 03-04.
