Rossi 0 Posted June 28, 2006 NW is trying to deflect pressure on his appaling inability to sign a right mid for 2 odd years by claiming that at least he tried. However, in a different breath he''s also claiming that he''s trying to build a team around Earnshaw.Do we believe him? There''s been no contact between the two clubs - we''ve heard that before remember.Only the club know the true extent, if any, of Blackburns (or any other clubs) interest in little Ern.That said, if we are battling to keep him, let him go, we cannot afford another Ashton scenario
Northern Canary 0 Posted June 28, 2006 well the bid would have to be 4 million or something for Earnshaw to leave. That would then allow us to play McVeigh up front and then invest in the likes of Hulse, Edwards and Halford and another centre mid.. Therefore we would have a team of: GallagherHalford Shackell Doherty DruryEdwards Safri New CM Huckerby McVeigh Hulse
Jimaldinho 0 Posted June 28, 2006 Build a team around Earnshaw? Didn''t look like that last season from where I was watching. Hoofing the ball up to the little man, starving the guy of chances and dropping him when we played away from home. Anymore of that and we WILL be seeing Ashton all over again. We need a Manager 0 Posted June 28, 2006 The fool was also going to build a team around Ashton , then surrounded him with the likes of Hughes , Jarrett and Thorne , come January Earnshaw will want away from this club just like Ashton did .
