NW is trying to deflect pressure on his appaling inability to sign a right mid for 2 odd years by claiming that at least he tried. However, in a different breath he''s also claiming that he''s trying to build a team around Earnshaw.

well the bid would have to be 4 million or something for Earnshaw to leave. That would then allow us to play McVeigh up front and then invest in the likes of Hulse, Edwards and Halford and another centre mid.. Therefore we would have a team of:

Build a team around Earnshaw? Didn''t look like that last season from where I was watching. Hoofing the ball up to the little man, starving the guy of chances and dropping him when we played away from home. Anymore of that and we WILL be seeing Ashton all over again.
