The Duke of Norfolk 0 Posted July 5, 2006 Next season the following teams will all most probably be stronger than us. Brum, WBA, Sunderland, Palace, Preston and Soton. Will most Norwich fans be happy with the fact that we are not competing at the top with these other teams? Exactly, that is why Worthington is doomed. Yellow Rages 0 Posted July 6, 2006 I think you can take Palace and Sunderland out of that theory unless they start signing players.

Temp the Revelator 0 Posted July 6, 2006 I think you can probably remove Preston too, as they are selling off the family silver at the moment - that''s their defence ripped apart already.
Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted July 6, 2006 Yes and last season Soton, Palace and Norwich were going up wheras Reading would struggle...oh hang on! Trust me- one of the relegated sides will have the hangover we did and struggle. One team will be indifferent and one unexpected side will mount a surprise push. That is what is wonderful about this league
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted July 6, 2006
I think you can take Palace and Sunderland out of that theory unless they start signing players.
Palace signed Leon Cort the other day?????? A centre half whom scored against us Home and Away. And both teams are changing manager (Peter Taylor being a good choice). I think you can take Norwich out of the equation unless they start signing players..........

I was also talking to a Hull fan the other day who can''t believe that anyone rated Cort enough to buy him - given our performances last season we can''t base a judgement of a player''s ability on having scored against us! If that were the criteria we should be signing half the players in the league!
FilletTheFishWife . 0 Posted July 6, 2006 They also have lost Andy Johnson and Fitz Hall and Ian Dowie (who Charlton obviously think is good enough for the premiership). Would it be too inconvenient for you to have a balanced view?

nh_ncfc 0 Posted July 6, 2006 For us to be the best we need to BELIEVE we can be the best. The way people think ''''ohh we wont beat them!'''' and ''''they''ve made more signings than us..'''' etc etc etc just shows us as fans are also suffering from lack of confidence. Where''s our 12th man here? Look at the season we went up? alot of the players were average who had not played prem football and they got us up there. We shouldn''t doubt some players just because they are not prem players. And about the signings, i''d rather us sign no-one than spend around 4 M on players that can''t help us. We WILL make signings we NEED, but in time.''''Chief executive Neil Doncaster today insisted Norwich City would not be left behind in the race to snap up summer signings when he said: “We do need more players, we have a budget to spend and we will deliver those players.''''Bring on next season

Are you seriously suggesting Paul, that by signing Court that they are now as good a side as last year despite loosing all of those players?I would gladly take any of the players they have had to let go. They are clearly a depleated side now.I''d love to hear from you on this one!
