Huckerby!!

Recommended Posts

Its so obvious now! Huckerby for manager, give him a year as player/coach, tell Worthy to pack his bags and Hucks can be guided by someone live Venables or Bobby Robson for a year before becoming manager, he loves youth, knows his stuff and seems well spoken in interviews, I think he could be great.

I may be dreaming about this, as dreaming is all i have left at this club as nothing I want to happen ever does.

Oh dear lord... is this the answer to all our problems - appoint an ex player we all love as manager, then things will definitely get better?? If we carry on like this, we''ll be no better than the fans down the A140...

And all this about Venables and Robson? Do you honestly believe we''ll ever get big names like that to our club? Most players barely want to come anywhere near Norfolk, let alone the managers!

Huckerby is a playing legend for us already, but player/coach or manager? I hardly think so just yet...

Oh, and mind how you write "he loves youth"... [;)]

Oh for goodness sake - what insanity is going to come up on this board

next!? The guy''s a legend for us but this would kill his reputation

with us and i wouldn''t want to see that. Who knows, he may make a

manager one day, but appointing a player straight to manager with zero

managerial experience is never a good idea. Just look at history:

Pearce at Forest

Waddle at Burnley

Megson at Norwich

All have since admitted that they weren''t ready for management at the

time. We''ll have to see what becomes of Southgate - i do think he is

manager material, but he should cut his teeth in lower leagues first.

If i was a ''boro fan, i''d be nervous.
nothing personal but hucks is hardly the brightest person, i can''t see him as a manager
How would you know?

Been marking his MENSA tests or soemthing?

Or just basing your opinion on the fact hes from a working class background and hasn''t lost his accent?

Last time I looked you don''t need a degree to be a coach anyway.

Wasn''t he criticised last year for saying the ''youth'' were not ready for the 1st team.

After watching the live games on sky which Norwich have been involved in there is nearly allways George Greame giving his final comment of,  im off for a few glasses of wine/pies with my close friend Delia. I wounder how close friends they are and weather he could be tempted back into management by her. I firmly belive worthy''s days are numbered but also worry about who the board will appoint especially when you see the best midlesboro could find is Gareth Southgate.
