Is worthless right or wrong not going for Sutton?

Recommended Posts

After all it was only 2 seasons ago he was banging in goals left right and centre for Celtic.

Maybe, just maybe worthless could gain some respect back from the fans if he signed him!

Personally i dont know if it would be the right move for City to sign him or not.

His injury record and his very high wages would be 2 reasons not to have him back.   It would be a no risk signing for the manager tho - if it didnt work out then he can say the fans thought he was a good signing  and if he does then we are all happy.

Personally one the basis of wages and gamesplayed I would say no - unless we can get him on a goals scored/games played only basis - although I see that sheff utd are interested.

In my view, Chris Sutton is the best Norwich player i''ve seen at Carrow Road and a potential partnership with Earnie could be awesome.

However, many people could get disappointed as they would be expecting the Sutton of the early 90''s as opposed to Sutton 2006. Still a fine player, but you would have to expect a few injuries ( a la Duncan Ferguson ), so a Plan B would often be required. The club would be faced of paying big wages for a player who may only play 25/30 games a season - that''s if you could get him here in the first place...

The irony of all of this is the wages - we won''t pay the wage of a player who could probably get us promoted, yet we can''t get rid of Worthington because of his wages.

£1 Million a year for Sutton or Worthington? I think we all know who would give us better value...
