Mcveigh on his way out ?

Recommended Posts

I know this will sound like scare mongering especially as a first time poster ... however what I saw last saturday concerned me somewhat. I wok in a bar in cardiff, called Salt Bar and at about 6 o clock I came into work after the match to find a few of the Cardiff reserve players drinking in the bar. I didnt think much of this except at being suprised at the rate of the drinking going on with one more game to go this season. As the season progressed these players ( including Phil Mulryne) were joined by the entireity of the Cardiff first team and Paul Mcveigh. He seemed to be accepted and was having a good time and seemed friendly with Kevin Cooper ( predictably) Jason Koumas, Darren Purse and Glen Loovens, i know this is pure speculation but could he be testing the water in a new club or simply enjoying a drink with an old friend ie Phil Mulryne.

One floor in your argument mate.......If you are a cardiff fan you''d know that Phil Mulryne will be leaving Cardiff at the summer!

To be honest I think he was just enjoying a drink cause I think McVeigh (No offence) could go to a bigger club than Cardiff (Probably a newly promoted club)...........Well he won''t be leaveing this season cause he''s had his contract extented and I doubt cardiff would want to spend money on a player that will be free in 12 months time!

I saw Tierry Henry ask Ally McCoist is he was having a drink backstage on TV the other night. This obviously means that Henry is about to snub both Barcelona and Arsenal and sign for the Rangers football masters team

Undoubtedly a reunion with his old drinking buddy.

There''s a school of thought which runs that there is a link between Phil Mulryne''s departure and Paul McVeigh''s improved form (and attitude) this season.

There is another school of thought which runs that there is a link between Paul McVeigh getting picked (not by the managers choice despite good form for 4 months of the season) and Paul McVeigh''s improved form (and attitude) this season.

[/quote]Both are probably pretty accurate, IMO - both/and, not either/or.

I heard some weeks ago that WLY is most likely to be heading overseas, with a lower L Liga side apparently interested;  unusually his 1 year extension was imposed by the club (as per the original contract terms - same with safri) in the hope of securing a fee- from some one who is far closer to the club than most but at the end of the day I can only report it as gossip and it may have no foundation in reality but you have all I know.

Definitely just having a drink with his boozing pal... Mulryne''s probably bored with drinking the Cardiff players under the table & needed McVeigh there to keep him company until the clubs kick out!
