Whether we like it or not (and I most definitely do not) Worthy is clearly going to be here next season. So how long do we give him and what do we class as acceptable?

Personally I wouldn''t give him more than 4 or 5 games. Poor signings and no immediate improvement in performance should be enough. However, I can see that many fans feel 10 games appropriate.

So where, after 10 games, would be enough to ensure Worthy''s survival?

I''ll go for an improvement in performances plus a top 6 league position. It''s time to draw the line.

What is gonna happen if we are losing the first game of the season???  It aint gonna be pretty, all summer for peoples penty up anger to build up.

Lets hope we start well for outr clubs state, and the worthless one actually signs players with FOOTBALLING ABILITY for once.

Its not going to matter how we start , results dont matter anymore , people hate Worthington and untill hes gone its not going to get better on or off the pitch.

I''d give him ten games and a top six position. Anything less than that, even if performances have improved, then he''s out.  At the end of the day it''s the points that matter.

I don''t want him here next season but begrudgingly accept that he most probably will.

I will give him 10 games.

If we look like we can challenge for automatic promotion then he can stay,

If we are looking mid table with play off hopes (as we have been this year) then there has been no improvement and the team is underachieving and he must go.

The next big argument will be over what the board and the fans regard as acceptable.

Another season of strife and ill feeling awaits us imo.

10 games is enough for me aswell. if there are no signs of any improvement, and we''re not up there, i think he''ll be gone.

I think it should be ten games to make any sort of evaluation that isn''t based on a fluke or a blip - if we''re not top 6 (ie realistically challenging for auto) I think he should go. I would be surprised if this isn''t how the board also views the situation.

If Nigel remains manager then there really is no alternative but to back him for the first set of games.   Anything less than 8 games means he has not had a chacne to show he can take the club forward - and many more than 10 means too much of  a season is lost.  This should include cup game IMO;  the die is set and thingshave to show a demonstrable improvement.
