Salopian 1 Posted April 24, 2006 So if we could scrape another home win next Sunday we could finish 7th! (As if we haven''t scraped enough slightly lucky wins already! And how many times have we won by more than two clear goals?)) "Just outside the play-offs" - , although by quite a few points? But look at our home and away record against the top six this season:Played 12, won 2, drawn 2, lost 8, goals for 12, goals against 25. We lost twice as many games as we won or drew!If somehow we had got into the top six, how would you have rated our chances?Given that three of these teams will be with us next season, plus one or two useful teams with Premiership consolation money, how would you rate our chances next season? You would have to say "poor", unless there are massive changes - a new manager or massive managerial change in outlook, tactics, decisions, motivational ability.
