Andy Hughes - a contender for Right Back

Recommended Posts

Before you ridicule this post - just think about it. He can just about

play on the right, his tackling isn''t to bad most of the time and he''s

prepared to run around like a headless chicken, in other words to

overlap the right winger (Yeh right) and then track back  His

passing is poor but with worthignton playing hoofball it doesn''t matter

So what about it? Not ideal, but viable when worthington insists on playing him

i was thinking that maybe Andy Hughes could become the new sponsors mascot. all that clapping is great for the kids and he can have an excuse for lacking awareness and vision

Maybe Andy can sit and clap in the stands as they start to empty as fans start to desert(spelling?)  over this Hoofbore that we play.

Rent a crowd clap, along Hughsie! Andy can be that missing wall of noise and enthusiasm. Maybe it was his energetic clapability (yes I did spell that right!) that attracted worthington to him in the first place. Could not have been his football ablility was it!?

ANDY HUGHES IS USELESS - wherever he plays. It p155es me off so much, how we come from the premiership, and show so much ambition that our main sumemr target was this

How about we actually give Jurgen Colin a chance.  You remember him?  Young guy with good pedigree from PSV, who was the target of several clubs.   The guy with good pace, passing and who wanted to get forward and overlap.  The guy Worthington kept waving back all the time, then dropped after one bad game and who has not been heard from since, another young lad destroyed by Worthington.

Hughes duties should be limited to blowing bubbles with the pre-match clowns on the sidelines. (The clowns actually dressed in clown outfits, that is. Not the clowns in the dug out.)Etuhu should be his partner, inflating balloons for the little kiddies in the front row.For a million quid we should at least receive some entertainment from the pair.

He can get lost with his pre match comments too. What a load or rubbish. The fact he bangs on about the great spirit etc and still being in play offs makes it even worse when nobody turns up to play away games

no, no, no, no, no, We have not bought a decent player since Ashton and Colin is testament to this fact. He has no confidence and looked completely out of his depth. He was not playing for PSV anyway. It''s painful enough without clutching at straws like this.

Colin didn''t cross the half way line as often as Fleming does. Hughes should be given a run at right back, infact, in addition to filtering the youth in Worthington needs to experiment with the senior pro''s too.
