YankeeCanary 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Well, we have not had a football season to inspire us. Looking at the Grand National entries at Aintree, there are only three horses entered in clear green and yellow colours. Hedgehunter, Royal Auclair and Juveigneur. Let''s hope they take the first three places and show Lancashire that the "green and yellows" know how to win something.
YankeeCanary 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Forgot to add the shortcut for the Grand National field and colours.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/horse_racing/4849444.stm
FU MAN SHOE 0 Posted April 8, 2006 None of the placed horses were wearing brown, which would be more befitting of our away strip this season. Roll on August!
Freddy H 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Why are yousurprised at the yellow and green at The National? The team did not turnup at Preston, they went to Liverpoolinstead. The bus driver heard Worthy say ''take us to the footballground'', having watched our hoofball this season; where else would the drivertake them but Aintree, the home of Donkeys and Carthorses! 0peteddMMyyyy0Falseen-USTrue 0 Posted April 9, 2006 One fell at first, others fared little better, last year Y&G won was it some kind of omen for success, no it was entirely the opposite.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Be fair the yellow and green of Hedgehunter (who ran valiantly) was handicapped by the extra dead weight he had to carry. Does this sound familiar?
