Archie 0 Posted April 26, 2004 From the Times online:With debts of £17 million, even taking into account the £15 million to come from television revenue, Norwich are unlikely to be able to spend loads on the strengthening of Worthington’s squad. How true is this?I was not aware that they were quite so big, prehaps it is including the repayment on the laon of the south stand, can anyone shed any light on this? ZLF 271 Posted April 26, 2004 The debt for the stand is £15m alone so it sounds reasonably accurate, although I am not sure how the £6m sale of land affects this. However the £15m is a structured long term loan that we budget for and can afford on Div 1 incomes - as such I would not think it is too much of a barrier. What they say is right - we will not be spending £10-15m bringing in players - whoever we bring in will be affordable with a mixture of small buys, bosmans and long term loans being the smart way to enhance the playing staff.OTBC
At last? 0 Posted April 26, 2004 The less money people think we have the better.Last thing we want is clubs upping their prices because they think we have a few quid.
