NAME THAT TEAM - Swindon (A) 1994

Recommended Posts

Bit of an easy one for me given that it was my first ever game... The keeper is hard but he always eems fairly well publicised, left midfeild is usually a left back...

left after a falling out with a manager similar to the joke we have in charge now.

think he made something like 399 appearances

What were they thinking playing a left back who is actually right footed at left midfield.

Imagine if that happened now...the manager would get loads of stick but the player would be forgiven for his predictable poor performance in such an unaccustomed role.

Had no trouble with this one, must be what happens when you waste your youth playing championship manager! He was a left midfielder, then we turned him into a left back (arguably the best left back we have had in many a year!)

The challenge to stump all would be to name any away lineup from this season in a couple of years time.

Hopefully most of them will be long forgotten and not  even committed to the archives of trainspotters, bar code collectors and insomniacs by this time next season.

RM - think of the best RM we have had at the club for a while. Does a bit radio now and then

LCB - played up front sometimes. Spent some time at Southend if im not mistaken, now owns a shop selling suits (?)

LB - the last 6 letters of his surname is a place close to the ground - ****** park

Hope those clues are allowed.
