Think these goals will really help him. Will probably have thought Sarge would be straight back in the side on his return. Might now begin to wonder if he can keep him out of the team.

Technically he's a far superior prospect, he's already got a good physique which he can probably build upon.

Presses well which fits with the system. Can't remember seeing him score many headed goals which for his frame is an area he has the potential to improve in massively.

Think he has all the raw materials to be a very good striker. Question is his development. He's getting exactly what he needs at the moment, games in him proper position. That changes if Sarge goes back to CF.

Fair few games before Sarge is back, so hopefully Ante can get seriously bedded into the team.

His attitude was so nonchalant after scoring - reminded me a bit of Teemu, it's like, well of course I scored, what did you expect?? 😄

Best thing for Crnac would be for a proper right wing option to emerge, because the obvious thing on Sarge's return is to shift Crnac back out to right wing.

If there's someone right wing you don't want to drop then that's a tougher decision

I wonder what the plan with Schwartau is. He seems to be a number 10 and we don't play with one

We don't play with a right winger, so more round pegs in square holes I imagine!

Crnac was so calm with the way he dispatched both his goals today, especially the first-great footwork that came from growing confidence, his celebration was more about joy at scoring as well rather than relief-looked a totally different player.

Also composed enough to lay the ball off to Marcondes when he could have gone for his hat-trick.

Solid 8/10.

He could be a useful 10 behind Sarge. Onel showed today that we’re better with an actual right winger on the wing.

Yeah he could have panicked or snatched at any of those chances but he didn't. If he does develop into a top player then it will be rewarding to watch him develop.

I think he has more about him than Idah, who considering the fees we essentially swapped him for and I think that is decent business.

We paid a lot for Crnac but got a great fee for Idah I think so all good.

For sake of argument, had Celtic signed Crnac and he started scoring in the SPL he's the kind of player you could see them making quite the profit on. I can't see them making a profit on Idah

Even when he was not scoring, he was doing 3/4 things a game that showed some genuine class. He’s a good size physically and is clearly a technically excellent player. Now he seems to have got to grips with the speed of the game and has scored a couple to get the monkey off his back I can only see him getting better.

Agree, he has some of the best footwork in the team, very quick and skilled

Very calm in tight positions and the type of ball control Sargent can only dream of.

I loved the pass at 2-2 to Marcondes.

Side before self, even when on a hat-trick and full of confidence.

Carried a little bit of swag today, that will take him far, as long as the performances are matching

This - every opportunity to attempt the hat trick and he chose to pass 👏

Also Duffy's pass to him was not great, lovely little touch to control the ball and move it around the defender.

Oh that’s embarrassing for me 😅

What is it?

"Ante Crnac

Duh Duh Duh... Duh"

Usual thing for a player with a 4 syllable name and hardly bespoke to us, but at least he's getting positive recognition. First time I've heard his name sung.

Guess you don’t go to games he already has one which was sung loads yesterday. In fact when he set up the third the whole ground were singing it.

His first goal was extremely good. Technically excellent. Interesting.

I totally agree about his response to scoring. I really liked that.

Nobody like Norwich pays £9.5m for a very young, unheralded player playing in a quiet league. Particularly one who only moved a year ago for £1m.

We jumped the queue here and took a risk. He has all the attributes. Quiet lad. The new culture wants to build players.

Make no mistake he was always a striker and intended as central in every sense.  Norwich don’t pay that kind of money otherwise.

Only make a couple of home games, and usually 5 or 6 away games in east mids and Yorkshire. I’m obviously a plastic… but I don’t recall hearing a Crnac song at Derby.

Thanks! Perhaps a more creative one if he keeps improving then!!

He's big, he's Polish, he know's where the goal is, Ante Crnac, Ante Crnac

Until I remembered that he is in fact Croatian, which burst my little bubble.

Ohhh Ante Ante Ante

Left foot right foot bish bash bosh ...

In fact I think his reaction speaks of a high level of self belief, which is different from & better than pure arrogance. He also doesn't get bullied at corners - stood his ground in several shoving matches I noticed. I suspect we may have caught a good 'un ...
