ronbol ronbol 0 Posted April 9, 2006 How is everyone going to act when it comes to the lap of honour at the end of the season. Is this the ideal time for one big protest by the whole of the ground? or perhaps the team and worthless will bottle it and not bother.......what does everyone think? Northern Canary 0 Posted April 9, 2006 i think everyone should walk off. Nobody will though
The Duke of Norfolk 0 Posted April 9, 2006 I think most people will just go home.It is a fact that although most fans want a change of management the vast majority can''t be bothered to protest. The pub is there instead.
Gavin Last 0 Posted April 9, 2006 I shall leave before the lap of honour starts.

still holding out for new heroes 0 Posted April 10, 2006 yep, I''ll be out of there before the lap, to leave the clapping fools to it
ZLF 271 Posted April 10, 2006 but isnt that a protest against the players, who are poorly utilised, rather than against the manager, coaches and board who should be taking the blame for tolerating this years efforts.
FU MAN SHOE 0 Posted April 10, 2006 I''m sorry but there will be at least some of the Worthless sh*t trying to kid themselves that they have done the City faithful proud this season. NW can take most of the blame for this sunken ship but some of crew deserve to go down with him. Those that have truly done their best in the circumstances and are worthy of the Green and Yellow know who they are...and the others can take the end of the season ''tribute'' as a rocket up their ar*es to some where far away. AJ 1,218 Posted April 10, 2006
In ground protest is in order IMO.
there are two options 1) just leave, so the team come out to an empty ground or 2) Protest during this lap of honour
Yellow Rages 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Firstly, I think calling it a "lap of honour" is rediculous. There is nothing to be honoured here.If it can be seen as a "walk of shame" then thats acceptable.I hope the objective of the players and manager is to appluad all of the fans who have spent their hard earned money to watch a sub standard product. If it is wiewed as such then they should be allowed to carry on in our prescence. We should also be allowed to throw custard pies, just to maintain the circus act theme that has been our season. london Canary 0 Posted April 10, 2006 i real message would be sent if we all chant worthy out as he walks round the pitch. The majority of people will make their decisions of what to do on the performance of that game, win people will clap, lose, who nows?!
John Boubepo 0 Posted April 10, 2006 A lap of honor to the chorus of ''What a load of Rubbish'' would be very apt I think, the load of rubbish refering to the last 2 seasons not the 90 mins of football just played, although that will no doubt be rubbish as well
Chris Meadows 0 Posted April 10, 2006 i suggest everyone turns up with tomato;s and when the players come buy we pelt them
Al Yellow 0 Posted April 10, 2006 What about that old standby the slow hand clap? ........ absolute silence, no cheering, no shouting, just a slow rythmic hand clap, all in time - unity amongst the fans...... that sends a message
FilletTheFishWife . 0 Posted April 10, 2006
but isnt that a protest against the players, who are poorly utilised, rather than against the manager, coaches and board who should be taking the blame for tolerating this years efforts.
Some of the players are as culpable for our situation as the management are including a certain departed golden-boy sulker couldn''t-be-arsed £7M striker . I''m tired of Worthy being solely blamed for continual below par performances from players. Admittedly some are just poor and couldn''t be better (e.g. Colin). I accept he''s made some very poor decision re transfers and tactics and I too think a change is required. However , to suggest we boo and deride the team if they do a lap of honour is discourteous and will only drive the better players nearer to the exit door (Huckerby and Green included) and as we can''t discriminate this would be be a poor strategy. But.....if you can arrange a supply of rotten fruit I could aim for those who warrant it.

Mello Yello 2,281 Posted April 10, 2006 On the last home game, why not a "Lap of Hoofer?"...........The players'' come out of the tunnel with a ''le tacko cheapo'' plastic hoofball wedged firmly under each arm, and do a "Lap of Hoofer" around the pitch - to the long suffering supporter''s chanting: ''AVE IT....HOOF! ''AVE IT!.....HOOF! ''AVE IT!....HOOF!...etc, sorta like ''Gladiator Coliseum audience style''....ish. Then, they all assemble in the centre circle. "The Dambuster''s March" is played with a crescendo over the NCFC sound system - and one by one, (a bit like the penalty taking at the play-offs) each squad member has 2 chances to "HOOF!" their plastic balls from the centre circle, over Delia & Co in the Director''s box and then hopefully right over the City Stand Roof. If they''re successful with either of their attempts to "Hoof over ''t'' Roof!.'' They''re immediately awarded a playing contract for next season. If both of their attempts are successful, "wahay!" they get a free season''s re-shoeing from the local Farrier/Blacksmith, and a full years sponsorship with "Sputnik Soccer Balls" - plus a pair of "Clippety Clop steel toe-capped Hoofy Boots" from premier footwear specialists ''ADITOFF.''In the unlikely and improbable event, of any squad member failing to clear the City Stand roof - but succeeding to smack a plastic ball really hard into the pugnacious ''boat race'' of a certain patronising and condescending Director of the NCFC board......(surname rhymes with ''Flipper!'')...The NCFC crowd are to give a thumbs [Y] or [N] to whether the player stays or goes![Y][:)]If any playing individual is unable to reach the City Stand with either ''Hoofing'' attempt.......he really shouldn''t be at this club - as he clearly doesn''t possess the necessary skills and qualities required by NCFC and our most excellent, but, belligerent ''to the fans'' manager![:|] So there you ''ave it!....... Canary Fans: "Be aloof - to the proof of the hoof!" when they parade on the last game of the season on their "Lap of Hoofer" with a rousing chorus of: "ORBITAL BALL CITY!"........''AVE IT!....HOOF! ''AVE IT!....HOOF! ;~)
Rasputin was a C... 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Once that final whistle blows I''ll be off to the car. Its not just the manager but the players have let us down too so why should I stay to applaud their efforts.

old yella bird 0 Posted April 10, 2006 We could just turn our backs to the pitch as our talented team and inspirational manager jog past - after all that''s what the Board have done to us supporters this season!
Rossi 0 Posted April 10, 2006 there are a few that i actually want to show my appreciation to, but in the same way I''m not even going to look at etuhu. DuncanMirams 0 Posted April 13, 2006 whatever happens everyone needs to do it.Are we going to leave early or stay and let the players and staff have it?whatever we do i expect the barclay and the snake pit to lead the way as the rest of the ground is gutless with a few exceptions.we need to all agree. nobbyg 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner........."I gotta say I like that idea, but I''m personally nervous about making the players feel at fault....."That is pure genius. Whatever you think of Worthington are you trying to tell me that some if not loads of the blame lays with the players?Every player in yellow has not performed up to their potential or CV this year. A chunk of this is Worthingtons fault and a massive chunk is each individual players fault.
