Love how the "Captain" Grant Halney just sat there taking off his sports bra.
GTFO of my club.

No need at all. Always been a model pro for us. Only crime being not as good as we’d like.

Duffy's a fighter. And he's loud. Hanley leads by example - you'll not find many who are as willing to put themselves on the line as Hanley, but he does strike me as a quiet type who's probably hyper-dependable as a person but not necessarily a natural leader.

He's served us well though. I don't really see the criticism of him as justified.

Hanley typifies Norwich in recent years, good pro but just not good enough for that next step! Not his fault but can’t criticise him for his career, though has to be said he’s certainly spent a lot oh his time here injured!

Duffy just isn’t that good and never a captain in my book! Maybe why we’re conceding so many and not actually winning the matches we should be!

He absolutely shouldn't be captain, probably never should have but since his injury issues he can't claim to lead by example as his example is a bit ****.

That's pretty much why McLean and Duffy have been wearing the armband, right?

Duffy has probably been our most consistent CB this season. What that says about others perhaps more of a story...

Off field stuff I would say is still a problem for him as recently as this week but if he's performing can't really argue.

Can’t agree with that Hoggy, he’s been awful the last two games! Even before not very good, others have covered for him! He’s a yard behind most times! Still we all see things differently! How he stays on when Córdoba gets pulled is beyond me!

He's not been fantastic last couple games, but he's still been better than Cordoba.

Exactly. I've never been a fan of Duffy and would never have seen him in a yellow shirt after the Queens Head incident but his spirit and desire is just what the whole team should have shown. Football has become ridiculously over complicated recently with the obsession with 'data' this, 'data' that, 'heat maps', 'XG'' and God knows what. When you've just lost the lead with 7 or 8 minutes remaining at Cardiff and the hostile atmosphere ramps up several notches, all that stuff can be binned and you need ALL the players to do the 'hard yards' like getting goal side of your opponent, 'standing your man up', blocking crosses, putting your body on the line and not giving away stupid freekicks. Then when you get the ball it's all about dragging the team as far up the pitch as possible and in so doing reduce the pressure on your own defence.

Not sure about that! Doyle has been pants and cordoba has been trying to cover him and Duffy! Not an easy job. But all opinions….👍

Clearly it didn’t as you’re still polluting the site.

What's he done this week?

I hope Thorup has learnt something about his player's characters and ability over the last 3 games. I was hoping that one of them would have grasped the situation, perhaps seen it as an opportunity, but it's been a fairly limp-wristed response from all of them.

Disagree. Directly after a match that has been lost, especially the way that one was, I want to see the players being properly p155ed off and kicking bins. That shouldn't have to come from the coach.

The irony is that the slow build up and pissing about at the back is the main problem and who is one of the main culprits? The one having a go.

You just made that up. Duffy ranks pretty highly across the entire league for progressive passing (not as highly as Cordoba, but still higher than the majority of the league).

He should have kicked Forson.

I think the rhetoric is more being aimed at the dreaded 'tippy-tappy' or the more recent moniker 'pisspotting about' playing style. Which nobody likes at all if we aren't winning.

Admittedly we have fallen into poor patterns of recycling the ball at the back in the past few games, but that's not to do with the defenders.

Yeah, the football looks hugely ineffective when we're not winning and creating chances but as you say, that's not down to Duffy, or the other defenders.

Sorensen hiding behind the Bristol City player marking him all games means there is no option for the defenders. Thank god Nunez and Mclean should be back soon.

If there is one thing we've learned from the more recent games it is that Sorenson isn't a viable starter in midfield.

Can he be a bit part player here and there? Probably. But he isn't a starter.

While the last couple of games haven't been fun it has at least allowed Knapper and Thorup to get a proper look at some of the depth options and get a clearer idea of where we still need upgrades.

Yes, taking a step back, it's probably a long-term help in terms of assessing the fringe players and what we need to develop moving forwards.

It certainly would hopefully answer questions about extending Sorensen's contract - that would now seem to have been answered, especially when we need to be trying to identify a long-term replacement for Kenny*

*Yes, on that day there will be tears
