One for Midlands and a few others on here!

Obviously city related as no finer place to grab an ale or two in the UK

A couple of brilliant drinking songs:

I’ve got an LP compilation of football songs, I think it’s on Cherry Red records and I’m pretty sure it’s got an NCFC track on it-I’ll have to check later.

I’m not going to click on the Norwich City Calypso. My brother keeps signing the Manchester United Calypso by Edric Connor, it’s f…ing awful. Here’s a link to the lyrics.

We supported these (and Spizz Energi) at the Purple Turtle in Camden in 2011. We used to do a cover of Is Vic There which then went into Alice by Sisters of Mercy. Obviously we couldn’t play it when Department S were appearing later but our guitarist managed to play the opening riff as he was walking offstage 🤣

Hope you and @FenwayFrank enjoy the Sheds tonight. I saw them in Liverpool and also going to Brixton-lost count of the number of times I’ve seen them, it’s got to be 50+! I usually make it down the front early on but at 61 I’m knackered by the end 😳

Saw these in Liverpool on Saturday, not too bad, his son Riley (the inspiration for the song) now plays guitar and bass in the band. We got invited to the after show party but I was knackered after my day out in London on Friday.

My wife once met Ian Broudie and told him he needed more banter on stage. He hasn’t really improved it much 🤣

I have (or I have via my wife) an entertaining Ian Broudie story but it involves a female friend’s underwear so I am too much of a gentleman to reveal it in such a public place. Sorry for teasing.
