Why Aren't We Millwall?

Recommended Posts

Four one nil wins in a row.

Four clean sheets in a row.

Boy Harris has got them playing to a solid structure with defenders doing their defensive jobs, unlike Norwich who use defenders as auxiliary attackers and as soon as the ball is lost it is a case of oops, I'm out of position here. For example, left back position left so vacant the opposition player has enough time to go through a box of cigars before scoring.

The Napper-Throwup philosophy is deeply flawed.

We certainly did on Tuesday against Wednesday.

We didn't know what day of the week it was. We must blame the fixture computer.

One up again.

Well there you go.

Boy Harris is organised. Throwup is disorganised.

1.1 now.

Must have been a fluke goal. Came off the defender's **** and looped over goalie into top corner.

Wow, Millwall fans must love watching their team play-

27% possession against Stoke away, 24% at home to Leeds, 35% at home to Burnley, 28% away to Swansea, 39% at home to f***king Plymouth, 20% away to West Brom!

It must be like watching a training match every week, attackers v defenders.

A more organised goalie would've saved it.

They are doing well at the moment because they've reverted to their old style. When they tried to change it, it was a disaster. But there's no way most Norwich fans would accept that ugly brand of football. It's our club identity and it's not going to change.

A little like our match at The Den last December we had 66% possession but shots on goal were 11-11.

It is all about results. Millwall are a triumph of substance over style. Norwich are all show but with no substance. Millwall don't even have a training ground. Norwich have spent millions on one yet can't get a clean sheet. The club is soft underbelly through and through from top to bottom inside and out.

Their most sensible move was sending Long to us.

And therein lies the problem. The fans. They never learn because they are numpties. After two bottom of the league seasons, do they think this brand of possession football is ever going to work at that level? If the club's ambition is to be EPL then in the Championship now you need to be perfecting a style of play that gives you a chance in the EPL. Long term thinking needs to be matched by a long term footballing strategy.

He did not match their ethos. Coming here was a perfect match because we love to let in lots of goals and our fans really love it too.
