We won't get a win until at least McLean is back.

He can go in goal when he is

Trying to look at this positively:

Sheffield Wednesday conceded six at home at the weekend. If we pull one back, they'll probably get jittery.

I mean that just makes me feel worse to be honest… 😅

Anyone going to continue defending that useless **** in goal for us?

Honestly wouldn't get in many Sunday league teams.

Feel this is in part the fall out from the Cardiff game. We put a lot into that performance for no reward.

This is embarrassing. Absolutely amateur in terms of structure and discipline. The players are failing to do the basics of tracking runs, getting goal side and falling into a coherent shape. Playing a 4-3-3 is just crazy when the opposition don't fear your attackers enough. We're conceding the midfield and are basically a man short whenever they break.

Nope. And my anger has turned to the manager as it’s clear he shouldn’t be playing.

Agreed. And we are lightweight in mid anyhow in terms of the toughness of personnel. Needs to get Stacey on and put Fisher into mid

Give it another 3 poor results by Christmas and people will be calling for JHT to be sacked

Agreed. I'm a big McLean fan, and we miss him, but Nuñez is the one who makes the midfield tick and Sargent is our only striker.

Sargent is out for probably close to 3 months so we're going to have to win without him.

We also certainly can win without Nunez despite his importance. I can only think of one game we've won without McLean in past couple years. We have no central player that can tackle / intercept and drag us up the pitch.

Wow how crap is Doyle tonight, no chance he’ll ever get anywhere near a Man City team.

Theoklitas would have stopped that

A bollard would have stopped that.

Yep, it's a fatigued team with no depth as so many players are out, and a couple who are there are on the way back from injury so not match-hardened.

I think Fisher is going to have to play the McClean role as he’d do it better than Sorensen

The midfield is just a complete non entity, Marcondes is tidy in possession but really struggles against the ball (the fact we signed him during the injury crisis to our forwards suggests we never really planned on him playing this role).

Terrible half. Just feels like JHT hasn't briefed the team or anything. Not a happy bunch at all.

Sainz looking very frustrated.

Crnac not in the game.

Yep. 4-3-3 but none of Schwartau, Crnac or Gordon are any kind of threat. All they need to do is keep Sainz quiet.

On the Sheffield Wednesday scoreboard, it's just shown the Incident Reporting Number.

"Hello. City fan, here. Our goalkeeper has gone missing."

Sainz will be off in Jan if a serious bid comes in and this continues

Once again another season is hobbled by missing a few very important players and exposing a wafer-thin squad, How many times have we cried out that we need CDM cover or an extra striker? Those positions, as well as GK, are the spine of the team but we never learn.

3 wins, 3 draws, 6 defeats (on the way to 7).

12 points out of 36 with long in goal over the last 2 seasons.

Lost 5 out of 7 with him in goal last year, and the record would be similar this year without Borja bailing him out a few times.

Enough is enough now.

I wonder if those who authorised Long's new contract are regretting it now?

I’ve felt people were being too harsh on him, he needed time to settle in to a run of games…but he just has a minimum one major error a game in him and it’s not sustainable
