Potential next Head Coach in the house then? Not that I see Hoff departing for a couple of years yet (at least .... 🙏)

He'll keep the physios busy!! 😜

But yes - evidently has performed well coaching Arsenal youth teams.

Getting himself a decent rep as a good coach, heard him on Talksport a few times, actually speaks really well about the tactical aspects of the game.

Quite happy with this

Yep, a bit of succession planning (if all goes to plan that is) in place there perhaps?

Very pleased with this appointment if it comes off.

So what if he smokes. He won't at training or in and around the club-and it didn't do Chippy any harm on the pitch!

I was there on that day at the Emirates when Wilshere scored that 'special goal' against us....It was about 11 or so years ago now..... Cor blimey, doesn't time fly?.....I shouted 'off-side' but apparently, the ref, couldn't hear me....

Succession planning doesn’t really exist these days in football.

Hope it doesn’t ruin the equilibrium and he leaves his ego at the door as there seems to be a good dynamic right now.

True, however is nice to have internal options if somebody poaches your head coach.

Its good to have coaches who have head coach potential, means they are highly thought of and competent - look at Arteta going from Pep's assistant to Arsenal manager.

Just paused it at the point that it left Giroud's feet, and definitely not offside, nowhere near. It was a beautiful goal.

I was there too.  They didn't hear me either.

How so? In Thorup, Wilshere, Riddlesholm, Stanley, and Roberts, Norwich have a coaching team who have never worked together prior this summer.

Not sure which scenario is more discouraging 🤣 Group think or sixes and sevens

Still , early part of the season so I’m going with blind optimism in this little window

I would say a good blend of youth and experience, with emphasis on the youth. I think this is shaping up to be a very promising dynamic.

Yeah, it looks a good mix on paper and happy with all the appointments. Roberts and Wilshere are both coaches I would have thought beyond Norwich being able to attract.

I also like how the coaching team isn't just Thorup and friends and should he be poached or sacked, Norwich wouldn't be in a position that the whole coaching team would have to be moved on as well.

Didn't Wilshere end up in Denmark for a bit?  I don't know if his and Thorup, or Riddlesholm's paths crossed in that time, but a nice little tie in.

Fabrizio reporting this one wrong, he's claiming Wilshire will be head coach

He's said a few weird things recently, losing the plot.

He's entirely reliant on people giving him information, so perhaps he's rubbing a few up the wrong way and they are sabotaging him.

He's also been known to full on delete a few tweets which turn out to not be true, which makes him not much better these days than one of those ITK twitter accounts which post 100 things, delete the 90 that are wrong and then get noticed as saying 10 correct things in a row.

The King of the ITKs.

Wilshere was only in Denmark a few months. Riddersholm was in Belgium at the time and Thorup was an assistant at Nordsjaelland, so doubt he would have spent much time chatting to a player of an opposition team.

Former Norwich player David Neilson was Wilshere's manager in Denmark though.

No wonder he decided no to stay and hung up his boots, David Neilson is a complete tosspot.

A very shrewd capture if it comes off, good for Knapper to use his connections!
