I know many will hate this and can’t believe I’m saying this about a Leeds Manager but I still love Daniel Farke.

As always he again showed his class and appreciation for the club at the ground today

Then post match interview talked about how we plucked him from nowhere and he always has his fingers crossed for us.

Top man,

The man was a god , is a god , and always will be a god . ( albeit I hate dirty Leeds) .

so different to Russell Martin , who , on New Year’s Day, marched out onto the pitch pre game, applauded his away fans, and completely ignored the ovation from The Barclay .

I do believe I saw some watery eyes as he clapped the stands at the end. The magic he generated here was beyond incredible. Although I feel we're finally heading in the right direction with Thorup.

Farke still unbeaten in his 3 games at Carrow Road since leaving too

First thing I did when they equalised was to look down at the Leeds dug-out and at their subs and coaching staff, who were all hoopin' an' a hollerin' an' leaping around with delight.....Daniel Farke?.....He didn't so much as smile just gestured to his players to remain focused....Top Man....No fist pumps or smirkin' smugly up towards our Director's Box....Nice....

Certainly Farke has more class in his behaviour than the boy Martin. That said I think you will find that he did acknowledge the Norwich fans that game. I remember a thumbs up and a cheery wave. OK nothing on the scale of what Farke does when he returns but a reasonable acknowledgement of us nonetheless.

He did, and was politely applauded

Russell Martin was fine for me, the problem I had was with some of our  ‘fans’ , I remember at Villa away he was booed before the game started.

A marvellous human being and just a fine fellow really. (Still, I want us to beat Leeds though).

I often have a sense that he is simply 'on loan' whilst he is at different clubs until....at some stage...he might make a return to our club in s new role.

Great to hear that clip and also it's similarly great that fans give him a good reception - as we never got the chance to properly say goodbye.

It is nice that the way things ended haven't soured his memories of his time here. He seems a very genuine person which can be rare in professional sports.

I can understand the love in for Farke, but he did get a "sit down, shut up" from the Norwich fans when he was complaining about a Norwich free kick in the second half..........

Yes he did indeed, made me smile.

He still got a good ovation at the end and I suspect there will always be that special mutual appreciation for many years yet.

I think the way he was scape goated after a win generates him a lot of sympathy from the fans.

Classy man who will always be my " true love" in a footballing way.

Echo the sentiments of him being our DoF one day.

He loves us as much as we love him.

As I said at the time,

It was like putting the family dog down,

No one wanted it to happen,

But ultimately it was for the best

It did him a massive favour in my opinion. If we’d limped along to another meek relegation there’s no guarantee he’d have repeated the trick a third time without Buendia and an ageing Pukki, and eventually the crowd would have turned as it always does.

Getting the boot after a rather fortuitous win at Brentford allows people to instead project a million “what ifs” and believe he’d have instead always succeeded

Fair point,

But in hindsight, would we have been much worse off? Followed by Smith and Wagner.

Farke was worth more than football results to me, I've never felt more connected to the club than what I did during his period. The kids he brought through, the football, the Buendia's and Pukki's - whether he was directly responsible for it or not, it was under his watch and was just a really great time to be a Norwich City supporter.

I don’t think we’d have been worse off, but I don’t necessarily think we’d have done much better either. If he had got us up a third time he’d have likely been poached anyway.

They were a great few years under Farke, but I felt the same way under Walker, Worthy, Lambert etc. It’s always easy to like a manager when they’re winning, the same attributes that you love in one manger can be deemed a problem in another if they’re not getting the same results

We can never know for sure but I lean towards what @Fen Canary said- I think people assume he would have just fired us straight back up again but I'm not sure it would have been that simple. The replacements we hired were wrong and you can say that he should have been given a few more games after Brentford but I'm unconvinced sticking with him longer term would have led to a much different couple of seasons afterwards.

Webber basically made Farke a saint by sacking him when he did and when things got no better destroyed his own reputation.

Farke head coach at the club Webber supports and no other club has come in for Webber. Such a shame.
