[my emphasis] And why did you not point Robert Lim in the right direction when his post made it clear that he thought he could raise a question for a meeting that had already been & gone? Simple answer, I didn't realise the tweet was 5 days old and it stated next meeting. Simple mistake, but not the worse one I've made. Wish I'd not bothered now. TIL 1010 5,246 Posted September 24 (edited) @Greavsy i appreciate as do others that you posted the link for the agenda from Twatter in good faith but my point is i cannot find it anywhere on the Club website or Book of Faces which somewhat restricts the number of fans who can see it as it appears the Club thinks everybody has a Twatter account. As you mentioned comms could do with improving. Edited September 25 by TIL 1010
GMF 1,010 Posted September 25 @TIL 1010 For your information, the posts didn’t appear on any of the Club’s main channels; website, X, Insta, or Facebook, but on the Norwich City FC Supporters Relations X account. The first two posts were last week, the day of the meeting, (I didn’t see them myself until after the meeting) with a further two posts earlier this week. Gary my point is you have to have a Twatter ( X) account to have seen the link. Why was it not published on all socials ?

I got your point, but I don’t have any input on the Club’s media accounts, John, and wouldn’t be presumptuous to speak on their behalf. Maybe it wasn’t considered newsworthy enough for the main feeds? From what I understand the Supporters Relations account is just on X. Putting it on there is better than nothing, I suppose, although obviously won’t satisfy all. Edited September 25 by GMF

People are so quick to judge / comment negatively. X is awful for that since change in ownership too. Even when posting a link here, for which I have no input has prompted negative comments about the meeting being in the past etc. And when you do dignify them with a reply / explanation they don't have the decency to acknowledge.

There’s two separate issues here. Firstly, abuse of panel members, which is clearly unacceptable, and, secondly, the wider communication issues from the Club. Getting the balance right between the two is crucial, and the former issue shouldn’t be an excuse for not improving the latter.

"Football needs to be fully inclusive and enhanced through better fan engagement for all supporters. Fans are the most important stakeholders in the game, and supporters’ rights, fair ticket pricing and good club governance are all essential to help ensure clubs are run on a sustainable basis and for the benefit of the next generation of fans." An excellent quote which perfectly expresses what the objective should be. The 16 September meeting again seems to have been conducted with no formal mechanism for supporters to feed in, though in fairness you may have been pursuing that issue through item 4 in which case we look forward to the minutes. Best practice would also be to publish the Agenda on the Club website 1 week in advance with more flesh on the bone than shown here in order to facilitate further supporter input to same or to AOB. The primary duty here lies with Club Directors rather than the volunteers. Nobody should face abuse of any kind. Nevertheless when the process is headed up by somebody earning around 3 times the Prime Minister's salary we should expect far far better within 3 years. The same applies to a Non-Executive Director in terms of a meeting last week whom I have challenged in terms of inclusiveness, supporters rights and fair pricing issues. He should be very prompt in at least developing a holding position but hasn't been. Such issues go to the heart of good club governance.

The panel is not there for supporters issues to be fed to, if there is anything needs raising or concerns, contact the club and then it will be dealt with , and if appropriate discussed at a panel meeting. Otherwise time would be wasted on individual gripes rather than whole picture

He's just a random whinge generator, probably AI , designed to nit pick on stuff he hasn't read, doesn't really care about etc blah blah, spurned lover syndrome. Task AI . Create a persona that claims to support a football club that he chisels away at incessantly, for no good reason , he was heard and appealled and ombudded? Yet still knows better than any, despite constantly being corrected on mistruth, mistake and misinformation. Give this persona an unhealthy obsession with a quite, attractive senior member of staff, a love interest if you like. Do not allow him to give a straight answer to a straight question , yet allow him ro question the integrity of whoever takes his ire that day. He will claim false allies , have conversations with the ordinary man, he will by chance overhear strangers discussing his pet obsessions. But most of all let this characters campaign be built on two lies... 1. That he invested in shares to ' help' the club. 2. That he did not understand what he was doing when reading the, contract ref those shares. This same avatar claims to be a senior accountant, well versed apparently in the laws of filthy lucre.

I agree, I would humbly suggest following my experience on the OSP that the majority of supporters are still either a) unaware of it's existence or b) unaware of it's purpose. I think everyone agreed that the new format adopted when the first cohort of members stepped down – i.e. the panel being a combination of elected members and members of existing fan clubs/organisations – was a better way to get a wider range of views in the room. Ultimately, though, as various independent surveys have shown, our fan engagement ranks very highly. I think Elliot's involvement has been instrumental in that.
