Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted September 13 Is it bad that I am tuning in hoping Kamara has a stinker. We made good money but he showed us no respect!

Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted September 13 You can see the potential but was a bit meh this evening. Here is to Onel smashing it as a super sub tomorrow and netting a brace!
Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted September 13 It’s a shame, there was obviously something there that the coaches could see, but in all honesty we really never got to see it - he always looked a out of his depth when he played for us at this level. Good luck to the lad but right now the money for him looks pretty good.

Yobocop 1,444 Posted September 13 Hull have been rubbish, thought Kamara was woeful didn’t see him play a successful pass nice to see McCallum score

Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted September 13 It was a weird one. Can only assume his wages were too high. We needed a LB- he could do a job…yet we let him go??!

I do feel he wanted to be somewhere that promised him more gametime. Get the feeling he never liked being a bench player.

Newtopia 573 Posted September 13 I liked McCallum, shame he left - I assumed the wages he wanted were significant and we felt we could spend that cash better. With Kamara he made it clear he wanted to leave, and the club got decent cash for him. Pretty much Kamara out Forson in.

I think the fact he signed a 4 year deal at Sheff U says a lot. He's a few years younger than Sorensen but we only gave him 1 extra year. I would guess we offered Sam something similar but he preferred the certainty.
ron obvious 1,711 Posted September 13 1 hour ago, ricardo said: Yes, rather surprised we didn't retain McCallum. He had some good attributes (heading, pretty strong) but kept getting skinned for pace, which also meant he couldn't get back quickly enough to cover after a run upfield. A fatal flaw I feel. A fatal flaw I feel. He seemed to run more quickly with the ball going forwards than without it going back. Strange. As for Sheff U, early days suggest that maybe they and Leeds may get the automatics. They've done well so far to come back strong after their woeful season in the PL last year.
