shefcanary 2,939 Posted September 3 There obviously is an issue here; the ticket site frequently informs potential purchasers of tickets that the game has sold out but then a few hours / days later as if by magic, the match is no longer sold out! Whether this is because further blocks of seats have been taken on by the club after underestimating potential demand or because of processing issues the solution has to be the same - a "tickets currently unavailable" note rather than the simple "sold out" statement. Potentially it could even be a more helpful "tickets currently unavailable but do come back later as there is a strong possibility that more tickets become available". Augmented by like what they have on most entertainment ticket sites, an email sign-up option to inform interested people when the tickets are "back on sale". Plenty of people will see the initial "sold out" sign then decide to do something else that day (take their partner shopping or worse - a bottomless brunch god forbid) - I'm one who has done this now more than a few times and it is so annoying (for my partner in the end if not for me).

Exactly, i got tickets in the Coventry end because we’d stated ‘sold out’ when we clearly hadn’t. Coventry fans were very complementary and said we’d done a job on them. It'd be so, so much better for this forum if people just stopped replying to him (and I know I've been guiltier than most of indulging him). Amongst the other football websites I read is a non league one. At one stage this was taken over by a poster from Finland who ( very politely) would continuously suggest increasingly irrational changes to the football schedule, filling multiple threads with them. Eventually they decided to open just one thread dedicated to him, where he could post and those interested could read and respond to him, but he was not allowed to post on any other thread. I am beginning to think that this would be an ideal solution to the Essex problem,

GMF 1,006 Posted September 3 Everyone should have received an email from the Club with an update on tickets for Derby. Apparently, there was a system error on Monday, resulting in the game being shown as sold out, late yesterday. This was corrected this morning with the remaining unsold tickets becoming available again. There’s still tickets remaining, even though STH have also been able to purchase them from today.

GMF 1,006 Posted September 4 @essex canary Tickets are now on general sale, which renders a significant portion of your complaints completely irrelevant, nevertheless, I suspect that emails were probably sent to away members only. You weren’t directly affected, as the problem was resolved by the time the sale window for STH, who don’t have away membership, such as yourself, opened.

It is a 12.30 kick off so you may have a chance. I am not going either as have decided to go to Cambridge Home Games as an alternative. Just too much over complicated nonsense that acts as a deterent especially when the cost is taken into account. Just make the system simpler and get it right first time. It isn't rocket science. What exactly is over complicated nonsense with ST'S having access after 24 hours of the sale date and general sale 48 hours after the sale date commencing ? Nah chap, out on the Ring of Kerry, a camping and a fishing, weather's too good to be watching footy , be that in a stadium, local park, pub or living room,. Gonna go make the mother of all bacon butties in a minute, then go watch a Polish guy with ferrets and a Goshawk cull some rabbits, pretty spectacular. I'll catch up on all the footy sometime later. I don't live my life around footy, it's a fun game to watch when there's nothing more interesting to do. I hope you enjoy your day without finding anything to gripe about , I really do. I have already stated that Coventry went to general sale, Swansea is still general sale and Derby is the same so how does that fit with your monetisation claim ? I will grant you that the membership pack is complete tat and a better ' gift ' would be an additional small percentage discount in the club shop for joining the membership scheme. You should be a Villa supporter, then you would really have something to moan about, but as is always the case in supply and demand if the usual supporters don’t buy the champions league tickets then there will be plenty queueing to take their place.
