The club website states we took an initial allocation of 2,000.

Seems a bit strange to group 1 2 & 3 together unless they are certain to have enough for all.

Agreed. They said the initial allocation was 2,000,  that sold out and I assumed they added more.

The Club will know the number of match picks for each game, and they have a fairly good idea of the likely number of away fans for each match.

On the plus side, it gives members in different groups the opportunity to buy tickets together, and no one complains if their judgement is fairly accurate.

The potential problem is a chance that they completely misjudge the take up for a game in the future. Everyone remembers when they get it wrong, and complains loudly, but not so when they don’t.

If they only took an allocation of 1600 for Cov, then that’s a mistake. They’ve got previous for this last season too… I’m not a member (have been in the past and it was pointless) and will be pissed off if I can’t get a ticket on general sale for Derby, If we only take an allocation of 1500 or so.

With the current good feeling, we can sell 2500 tickets at Derby.

This has sold out in 24 hours. Why were groups 1, 2 and 3 put on sale on the same day. Shambles. If you sell memberships on the basis of priority then you need to give it or it’s not the product you have sold.

They are probably doing it because they want to encourage membership. Just keep refusing.

We took 2000 for Coventry, did not sell out.

City have taken 2000 for Derby,  we could possibly sell 2500 for Derby but it depends how many they are prepared to give us. Max we can demand inEFLis 2000, if they wish to let us have more it is up to home club, we can’t insist.

Just goes to prove that away support levels aren't that high bearing in mind the expense involved, that the membership scheme acts as a disincentive and that the Club no longer values loyal support. If it did it would abandon the charge.

Well we’ve sold 2000 for derby in one day it seems.

And have not implemented our own priority system properly thus meaning people in higher groups have missed out to members in group 3.

How do we really know they have sold out 2,000 for Derby? They appeared to sell out Safe Standing for Coventry at one stage then more seemed to appear. 

The whole thing is shambolic. Group 3 ahead of ST holders, or for that matter Group 1, being a clear example. 

The whole system needs clarity with loyal support prioritised rather than charging.

Your comment does stand up to scrutiny, as we didn’t sell our away allocation at Coventry - despite being offered to members, then STH, before going to general sale, it didn’t sell out. 

Even if the membership scheme is the disincentive you claim it to be, it shouldn’t stop the remaining STH, who aren’t paying the membership fee, from buying any remaining tickets after the first sale date.

No they’re not. Typically, it’s one Friday game, 3 early kickoffs Saturday lunchtime, plus 2 Sunday game. The other 7 games kick off 3.00 pm Saturday.

Yes, if they have sold them properly. They did say an initial 2 thousand which implies we will now take more.
