Gunn 8 As ever did everything he needed to. Thought he was beaten on near post near the end but got a foot there.

Stacey 9 Fluffed his lines when through on goal but great defensively and best attacking threat we had 

Chrisene 6 Technically good but hope there is more to come when fitter as right now doesn't offer alot going forward.

Duffy 7 Thought had good game for him

Doyle 9.5 Far too good for this level. Reminds me of Godfrey for onfield presence. Was very good.

Forson 5 We have a good player here but played poorly and understandably subbed 

Nunes 7 he's no Ian Crook but had a great game. Set pieces were good 

Sainz 7.5 matchwinner and has X factor that we need. Personally feel he might be more suited to a number 10 role more than wing.

Sargent 7 Quiet game but still looked very dangerous.

McLean 7 was ok. Quietly achieved as he does. 

Ante Crnac 6 My son thought he looked decent but I was disappointed hopefully improves with time given the investment.

Swarthau 8 Very impressed. Think we have good one there

Slimane 7 Steady. Wasn't that impressed but looked handy and early days.

Overall I thought we were great. Ultra critical I think we could have gone after the second goal a bit harder as I thought Cov were there for the taking but when you haven't seen an away win for 10 yrs I went home v happy

I'd have given Slimane a 9.  Great hold up play, good distribution, good tracking back and tackling (of whatever flavour) when we needed him.  I think he could be instrumental this year

I think those are pretty fair scores. But Doyle is already a far better CB than Godfrey ever was or will be and I might have given Duffy an 8 because apart from one loose forward pass I don't think he did anything wrong apart from not get his header on target.

overall he had a bad game, no more than a 4.

I'm pleased you thought McLean 'was ok' as I felt he had a very good game. He was my man of the match. 

There is still much of his game that goes unnoticed by many.

I do think peoples Memories of Godfrey are rose tinted he was ok and showed promise but was never 100% convincing

100 percent agree and I fail to see how anyone can watch that game and not come to the conclusion he is one of our best players if not our best.

Don't agree with these ratings personally.

Stacey was okay, but on a couple of occasions he let Cov players in behind and tracked wrong players. Duffy gave him at least two telling offs in the 2nd half as Stacey left his man completely free. 

Harsh to criticise Chrisene on lack of attacking output when his role is to stay deep and not to join in the attacks. He was very good in possession and allowed little past him.

I'd probably give Stacey a 7 and Chrisene an 8.

Slimane was probably man of the match, broke up play well, good in possession, always available as an outlet pass and good receiving the ball under pressure. His introduction basically changed the game in Norwich's favour.

Aarons peaked at Norwich at a young age, has gradually declined since. Godfrey was good but never a £20m player, Everton had their pants pulled down there.

I think Aarons has suffered as teams increasingly want their full backs to be 6ft plus and increasingly using converted centre backs in those positions. The move to Bournemouth wasn't a great choice - never felt like he'd fit into their plans and think they picked him up as his price was relatively cheap.

Godfrey suffered with the general chaos at Everton. Dyche would have never picked a player like Godfrey to sign, but the fact Atalanta identified him shows his ability. Can see him coming back to the Prem as a £30m player if he has a good couple of seasons there.

Arrans was going backwards at Norwich, the price was about right. I can see Doyle being a player worth that kind of price soon enough (still only 20) I thinks he’s already surpassed levels Godfrey ever achieved.
