When I first saw him he reminded me of Brandon Williams but he was great today.

That is all.

A new hero is born! For this season only unfortunately. Travelling army belting out his name almost non stop after that incident early on. Absolute beast of a player.

Physically I can see why he reminded you of Williams. But instead of performative masculinity, ug-ug-ug me tough, Doyle quietly gets on with his job and does it extremelyย well from what we have seen so far.

That tackle in the first half reminded me of what Hanley used to do, he just falls over in front of them now!

As a CB everything about him is too good for the Championship.ย

I think he can do a job there but he needs to be in the centre where heโ€™s been excellentย

Heโ€™s quite cocky too, like Williams, but much more talented.

Apologies for being lazy and not wading through the background but, and it might be one for @Feedthewolfย but doย we have an optionย  to buy under the loan agreement - early days he would appear to be a good long term investment

Yeah definitely. Also Doyle and Duffy is a horrible CB pairing to play against, they're both really strong, physical players who like to leave a bit on the player in challenges and seem to have a good understanding already. helps that Stacey and Crisene are quick as well so can make up a bit for their lack of speed. I really like the pairing and with Doyle being so good on the ball teams are having to close him down which is giving Duffy loads of time and space on the ball so even he's looking good playing out. Does make me wonder how Cordoba's going to force his way in though.ย

But surely it depends on the player.

If he enjoys his time here, and he thinks we can make it to the premier league with us, or we have made it to the premier league (big wish here), he might try his luck with us if he doesn't expect game time with man City.ย

Apart from having the same number of limbs I canโ€™t see the resemblance. Doyle is a class act.ย

Player of the season after just a handful of games. Remember where you read it.

If he turns out to be that good then the Delaware Capitalists would sell him at the first opportunity. Therefore no point buying him. He wouldn't be around long enough and we would be back to square one again.

Nothing to stop us from putting an offer in at the end of the season anyway, but if weโ€™d had an option to buy at the start of the loan then Man City wouldnโ€™t be able to refuse our offer-assuming they didnโ€™t set the fee at something that was out of our reach.

Whilst he was in the US on their tour, it was suggested in some places that MC would actually prefer a sale to a loan. So it isn't out of this world that he would be available; however, being as he is here, on loan, I'd say that it wasn't something possible for us to do (at the moment)
