Shame we absolutely gifted them a goal because other than that, after the first 15 mins or so of pressure, our Reserves have been excellent against the Palace first team.

You know what, after the first 15-20 minutes when it looked like we were getting blown away, we've actually played some good stuff.

Continually beating the first line of Palace press with some good stuff out of defence, we just need to be better with it in their half as too often after beating the press we then go backwards again.

Thought McLean has been superb since he came on.

Why the hell is Hills not starting and Warner not even on the bench?

I would think the logic is to play an experienced player alongside Cordoba whilst he settles in

I'm buying into JHT philosophy, some really nice stuff with a non 1st 11, Fisher done really well imo.

Crnac has been quiet but has already done more than SVH (wasn't hard) and I think will do ok

Funny hearing the commentators waxing lyrical about how good Kenny has been and is knowing it will be sending a fair few posters on here frothing at the mouth 😂

Really lovely buildup play. Real lack of quality in the final third. We're definitely more pleasing on the eye this season in comparison to our previous two campaigns. It's just a shame we don't quite have the firepower to make that final run in behind, pick that pass or otherwise stick it in the net.

Good half, Kenny superb.

Would like to see Crnac move around a bit more but would expect Sargent on soon.

Palace not really out of 2nd gear but we're still very much in this.

Norwich easy on the eye, but as the commentator pointed out, it far too often “amounts to nothing”.

There isn’t one confident scorer of goals in the Norwich eleven….

Missed the first few minutes, still havnt seen the goal, but we are looking pretty well organised it seems to me and again showing some real threat breaking quickly. If we can continue to develop this style of play we are going to become difficult to play against

Big difference since Mclean came on. I'm gutted Forson might have injured his shoulder but Mclean has been head and shoulders the best player on the pitch since he came on. Imagine if we had Sargent, Sainz, Doyle, Gunn and Stacy on too. With how we're playing we'd have definitely had more chances on goal and our playing out would have been even better.

Agreed. He’s had only a couple of training sessions in a new country and is up against Guehi and a PL team. He’ll be fine.

Gawd this is a tough watch. Gibbs needs a left foot if we are going to play him left side of Mid.

Really? I am quite enjoying it. I have seen far, far tougher NCFC watches...

Gnac hasnt had a touch,Cordoba has passed back or sideways more than anyone although one or two decent balls forward,Long just gives me hot sweats,Kenny and Nunez very neat and good interpassing, Onel has played some good balls and had a decent first half,Forsyth a bit anonymous, a real shame about Forson.
If they are playing the preferred system of controlling the tempo of the game with possession football I dont think I could face a season of that.We have spent what seems like forever in our third of the pitch.

It’s still early days, players still not through the door and ones that are have barely played. It’s really encouraging IMO. Looked like we were going to be humbled after the first 2 mins.

Onel still has so much to offer. And it looks like Thorup might just be the man to finally unleash his full potential.

I mean the play is good at times as is the buildup but it's easy to tell we don't have a striker on the pitch that we can agree

There’s some real crippling elements of our play here and they aren’t being addressed. We might be the national champs at just generally “arseing about with the ball a bit” which is delighting many.

Love Onel- such passion and effort.
we lack bite but did well to hold on given the start. But at the ground palace seem to be barely out of first gear and our midfield is struggling to compete.

Yeah, we've been arseing our way straight through their midfield. Awful isn't it.
