Duffy instead of Hills. Why?

May live to regret this but not sure it’s that bad a decision against a Wilder, Sheffield United team?

I’m not convinced yet on Chrisene and Stacy both playing. Was watching them against Blackburn and Stacy was basically a winger when we had the ball and Chrisene was also venturing forward. Was leaving Duffy and Doyle exposed. Thought we looked far better with Doyle out there and Cordoba on. Maybe just some discipline needed from Chrisene to learn the role and adapt.

Maybe, just maybe, he’s considered to be better suited to the inevitable aerial route?

Duffy is clearly the current scapegoat, he’s far better than he’s given credit for.

Or Cordoba. Or literaly anyone.

Don't worry though Hoff promised youth..

Seriously with this AGAIN cc?

Since when is playing

Doyle, chrisene, Crnac.

And having  Hills, Myles, Forsyth, fisher and Gibbs in the squad anything other than using youth!!!

We need SOME experience in the side FFS.

I think we’ll see Hills out on loan by end of the window. Sorry I’m not sure he’s ready to start alongside Cordoba personally, big step up.

Work out the average age of that team Cambridge and stop being simple.

Blades may have got trounced in the PL but they’ve got some really good PL players, hard game.

Feeling weirdly both hopeful about the performance and feel a draw would be a good result given where we are in the process.

Dare I point out that we have not beaten Sheffield United since 2017?

He's not. He's every bit as bad as people are saying.

Okay, Blades have Moore, Souza and Souttar, but otherwise the side is not that physical. In his presser Wilder said the tram was bring set up differently to previous years, if anything they are going for a 4-2-3-1 possession based a la Farke. Hamer, O'Hare and Arblaster are not that physical.

Also last week against QPR they ran completely out of steam. So expect them to be quick out of the blocks, but get to half time level or just one down and the game can be won in the 2nd half.

Of course we could score first, then no doubt a win in the bag. Just don't go 2 down too early.

I heard on Radio Norfolk he had played five competitive games already this season.

So he's fit enough to start.

He'll just have to figure everything else out as he goes.

Not gonna lie, I'd settle for a point today.

If we have some more of the positives we saw against Blackburn, I'll be as excited as Jermaine Jenas at a ladies only gym.

Bad performances by him at the end of last season seems to have led to people forgetting just how good - or certainly "ok" but that's not a fair description - he was for most of it (his shocking start aside, of course).

Saying that, on the face of it he does seem to suit Thorup's style even less than Wagner's.

I suspect Duffy playing is about keeping it tight and hopefully not going behind. If we have to chase the game later because we're losing, I feel pretty sure Duffy will get sacrificed for a FB who can be quicker and more progressive going forward.

Pundits expecting a Sheff win but I'm not sure today. Really hoping we can get the 3 points in this one so we kick off our season and a first win for JHT and at home.  Fair play to him for starting Crnac straight in. If Wagner had have been here I just think we might be waiting 2 or 3 matches. Must have had a decent training day.

Exciting to see how he gets on and hopefully an understanding with Sargent early on.

Steady on....
