Didn't we get offered about £2 million, maybe more, for Llewellyn after he'd barely played a few games for us?

I've no idea, I was youngun when he was playing for us - all I can remember was the people around moaning about him

Skipp! Have you forgotten Mike Pheelan? Unlike Skipp he was actually capable of passing the ball forwards. And he went on to win medals with a top team.

Unlike Skipp, though, his first touch was 'poor' (putting it mildly) and he was not a crowd favourite at Old Trafford (again, putting it mildly!).

I would not have Phelan anywhere near a 'greatest ever NCFC eleven'. He was actually much better at centre back when he filled in there occasionally as he could read the game well from that position. In his normal midfield role, I always thought he was well overrated.

Sutton, Ashton, McDougall, Reeves and Drinkell all did the business in the top league. Classy forwards too, I’d perm any one or two from those 5 for a forward line.

Indeed and that's before we consider a certain Grant Holt! I'm sorry but if we're truly being objective (as much as fans can be of course!) then Duncan and Iwan would simply not make the cut. Trawling through the various suggestions, it's mighty strange that C Fleming only made the bench with one poster and nowhere to be seen with the other selections! Bruce and Watson seem favourites and that's a decent shout. However that 2003/2004 defence as a whole took some beating and Fleming with Malky was a super pairing. Left back is a close call between Bowen and Drury, I think the competition for said position is trailing well behind those two!

Decent team if you drop Linighan, Gordon and Townsend. Good players for Norwich but shouldn’t be anywhere a best eleven.

Given everyone is far too busy getting involved in drama and transfers I thought it would be fun to get a more lighthearted debate started. Quite some years back someone started a thread pointing out that sometime in 2008 various fans got together to vote for what they thought would be the best ever Norwich City starting 11 made up of past players of ours from any time, era etc

Given it's been a while thought it might be fun to revisit this and see if you have any changes you would make and who you think should be in the team and who should not. This was the team that back in 2008 was voted as the "Greatest ever Norwich City team". What changes would you make if any?

Kevin Keelan
Ian Culverhouse
Steve Bruce
Duncan Forbes
Mark Bowen
Darren Huckerby
Ian Crook
Martin Peters
Darren Eadie
Chris Sutton
Iwan Roberts

darren hucklerby wouldnt make the team
