ron obvious 1,711 Posted August 19 Fantastic game! The close control at speed & invention was breathtaking. Leicester changed completely after their goal, & could easily have nicked it. Though how on Earth Spurs didn't score a hatful before Leicester levelled is a mystery; I suppose it was a classic case of trying to walk the ball into the net, score the perfect goal type syndrome. Goes to show how you MUST score - & keep scoring - when you're dominating, because any team will come back at some stage. The comparison of difficulty of finishing top at that point is irrelevent. Spurs have essentially the reputation of having reasonably good sides but struggling to break into the top two or three on a consistant basis. What follows is a host of meme's about no titles etc. Eg; Harry Kane and Dier going to Bayern to win titles and having failed to do so. Comparatively, we have win the title twice, going back less than a decade. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was 2019 and 2021. So just a tad outside of twice in the last 5 years. To be fair, Watford supporters might think watching 6 managers come and go in a season is like waiting for eternity to come.
