Can also confirm the result, a 0-2 defeat.  It will also be raining through the holes in the roof of the Arthur Wait stand. The worst away ground in the top two divisions?

Selhurst Park runs it fairly close but Kenilworth Road wins that contest

Definitely.  There’s still some pretty ropey stadia out there in the top two tiers.  I prefer that to homogeneous flat-packs with no character, but there’s still a happy medium.

Fair enough. Haven't been there since the first game of the season of our triumphant immediate return to the Premier League under Martin O'Neill... 'On loan to the Endsleigh'! #askyerdad

It hasn't changed a jot except for the Holmesdale end. Crap Toilets { pardon the pun ), dreadful refreshments and awful seats in the away section.

Can't judge it as I've not been to Luton. I reckon considering how long they've been in the top flight Palace and Everton are the worst. Hillsborough is pretty ropey as well.

I'm on record as wholeheartedly agreeing with the last point re. Hillsborough. The Athletic recently reported that the issues at the Leppings Lane end prevalent in 1989 have not been addressed at all, apart from bunging seats in the stand, and I concur with that. A rebuild is well overdue.

I meant I hadn't been to Luton since 1995. But agree entirely about the awfulness of Selhurst Park. The toilets and food are like going back to the dark ages, football-wise.

The Arthur Wait was built in ‘69 but you have to wonder which century.

Really, that recent, the architect did it on the cheapest of cheap then. So poorly designed, even if it was pre-seating.

I can confirm a new player will start his first game during this match and we will lose 3-1

I don’t usually miss an away game but this one I defo will! A disgrace of a ground

Unfortunately I’ll have to go, my oldest friend is Palace, and it was the first football ground I went to, being from South London, but hope to see some young players and do my duty.

I'm still amazed they didn't just bulldose The Leppings lane end after what happened.

Does anyone know how long the walk is to the ground from Norwood Junction, some say 20 minutes, only asking as coming by train from Stratford.

Around 15 minutes at a good pace.

It's impossible to get there. You get sucked into some kind of saaf-London vortex, never to return.

The last time I was there (2023), my son scored a penalty in the final of their u8s tournament. Can't go next week, double booked the Rocky Horror Show.

Oooft. Well done, Proud dad. Tinged with the gnawing regret that you didn't indoctrinate better. There's worse London teams though. Your lad could have been a Chelsea fan. 🤮
