City Elite have moved........

Get that f*cking abomination off our forum, @Nexus_Canary!

In all seriousness, though, any opportunity to improve the matchday atmosphere should be welcomed.

In fact, isn't it about time for @TIL 1010 to restart his campaign to get the ACN flags out of the storage cupboard, assuming they've not all been eaten by moths? 😉

Looks like a lost cause to me wolfie as far as ACN and Barclay Project ( or whatever they call themselves ) are concerned. Two one man and his dog brigades who for some reason have the ear of the club.

All the gear but no idea.

I know the ACN lads, they're genuinely good folks. I think the pandemic really put a dampener on the flags campaign, and I know they have young families which have resulted in less time to commit to the whole fan thing.

Also, I think we were all riding a wave of optimism under Daniel Farke, with the whole 'yellow wall' thing, Farke's charisma and having so many likeable and successful players. Factor in a horrendous relegation, two dud managers and seasons in the doldrums (not to mention the after-effects of Covid), and it's easy to see how the wheels came off a bit.

The other lot, Barclay End Norwich I think they're called, I don't really know much about them. However, with new owners at the helm and a progressive young manager who wants to bring youth players through, now could be a really good time to get the momentum going again.

Whatever happened in the past, now would be a good time to be positive and solution-focused about how we can bring the passion back to the terraces. Safe standing should definitely help to that end, will be good to see it packed out for the first time today!

Let's all try to be positive about how we can make it better. I'm here for it, despite sitting in the River End... 😂

Why can't they engage young people through more legitimate channels such as the AGM and achieve broader representation?

Another issue the SP should deal with but hasn't.

The offer is still on the table Kev, it'll be tough at first but, like giving up smoking , you'll feel great after a few days , no more having to remind everyone every few minutes that you're not happy. Cmon, do it, do it , do it.

I'm sure they're grateful to you for sharing their posts.

Just lurking, as per FF, 10/10 for that.

Drum is now directly in front of me which feels like undeserved karma having defended it so long

From my position in upper Barclay C block the drum is definitely louder.

I’m a big supporter, it’s very noticeable on games when we don’t have the drum.

Did it positively or negatively impact your afternoon?

I sit well away but taking it from the corner and sticking it more central means it is far less intrusive.

Actually In a game like yesterday when I felt the fans were up for it the drum felt like a waste of time.

I only really knew it was there because of the repetition of the same songs and the sh1t city elite ones. I mean you hardly need to be Lennon and McCartney to come up with football songs but it's more like lemon and Linda Mac from those lot.

For the same reason that every organisation will fail to engage young people through an AGM.

I was told yesterday and of course it could be wrong that nothing is happening because a person involved with either ACN or Barclay Project has moved to Spain and that some no longer even go to games.

I have offered my services to help on more than one occasion via @Puntino and from that end Zilch !

@Nexus_Canary, please go back into your post and delete that bloody image!

I quite like the reminder that whilst undoubtedly better on the pitch than us at the minute, they've still got a **** ground with a huge asbestos roof, and that it sits on land owned by the council.

They are basically the guy who parks a brand new Land Rover outside a council house with a damp problem.
