Millwall 4-0 Norwich.

Farke had just taken charge, and this match was catalyst for change. Two players, Franke and Martin, never played for the club again.

Thorup doesn't appear to have done anything to make this side his own yet. Today was just a much poorer version of last season's team without the two best players, and no sign of the philosophy we were led to believe would be implemented when he joined.

Sara is gone, and I'd be surprised if Rowe and Idah ever play for us again. Players like Hanley, Duffy, and Fassnacht may be looking over their shoulder because changes are surely coming.

Sara, Rowe and Idah should bring in £30-35m. We've spent £4m on Amankwah, and we'll clearly spend another chunk (£8-10m?) on new faces.

There's no need to panic, because there will be several new faces here when the window closes in three weeks.

But hopefully today, and the imminent sales of Rowe and Idah, is a very early watershed moment in this project which allows Knapper bring in more suitable reinforcements and Thorup to show that he has the bravery and character to build a squad in his image.
