I avoid these usually but a few left field thoughts:

Top 2 - Bristol City, and to wind up my Blades friends, Sheffield Wednesday (Danny Rohl will do what Farke won't be able to do).

Norwich - 10th

POTS - Nunez, he'll take on the Sara mantle.

Relegated - Swansea, Plymouth & Hull

It saddens me to see the Pinkun journalists aiming so low …

Surely if we made it to sixth under the dodgy Wagner it’s not unreasonable to hope at least for the same again ?

Top.

Kenny McLean sweeps all awards across the board.

Ipswich get relegated with a lower points tally than Derby

The 3 relegated from the Champ are Sheff Utd, Leeds and Sunderland

** my alarm goes off and I get up to go to work

Given our departures and new philosophies it’ll take a few seasons to bed in

’dodgy’ Wagner did a good job to get us to 6th given his resource but it was a time for a Change in direction

anyway

top 2 Luton, Burnley

Norwich position 14th

POTS Gunn

Down: Oxford Plymouth Portsmouth

Wagner got sacked for finishing 6th so if we have any faith in Knapper we must finish higher or what was the point of getting ride of Wagner ?

Because not everything in the sustainability of a football club is about finishing position. Wagner did overall an adequate job, but we were so far behind the leaders of the pack that we got shown by Leeds just how off the pace we were. If Wagner and his approach was seen as something we could build on and progress then keeping him is what we would’ve done. Clearly the club feel he hit his ceiling with the squad we had, has not necessarily got the right skill set to take us forward in the current climate of having to cut our cloth accordingly and Hoff is seen as having the skills that we need. We may be wrong, but we were not going forwards with Wagner in my opinion. That is of course the crux of it and opinion is flawed, but to arbitrarily feel that we should expect higher position this season is a massive naive oversimplification. In other terms, should every single team expect to keep progressing forward/upward as they evolve? All other clubs are doing the same, so the variables and competition change all the time. I’d be happy with a lower finish if it feels like the other things are there and hopefully building. I feel Wagner peaked and his peak wasn’t good enough, Hoff we hope has yet to peak and we hope more his peak is higher than Wagner once the dust settles in a few seasons

Why is everyone so positive about Coventry? (And I say that as someone who lives just outside Cov).

They didnt even make the play offs last year and have sold their 'star player' O Hare.

Appreciate they have made a lot of signings but I don't know a lot about them and who knows if they will gel. Seems like they're going through quite a transition and I'm not entirely convinced Robins is the exceptional manager that people seem to think.

Maybe it's just that I cant stand the thought of them going up and lots of my mates bragging about it!

I 💯 agree with this but it is a massive concern that Smith and his team was booed off at Carrow Road in a game which if they had won he would have gone second. Wagner was sacked after leading the team to 6th. Wagner team was also subjected to  booing and he was always two negative results from a crisis. The team was heavily criticised for a draw away at Coventry and a home draw against Southampton. Both results in my mind were good points.

Are the same fans going to give Thorup the same treatment? Why should he be treated differently to the two previous incumbents.

When Smith and Wagner team played out from the back there was audible groans and nervousness in the crowd.

Mirroring the Pink Un pundit's article, let's have your predictions for top two, Norwich's position, Norwich's player of the season and relegated trio...

Top 2:

- Leeds

- No idea

Norwich:

- With luck around injuries (particularly Sargent) then 8th - 12th, otherwise more likely bottom half. I don't expect us to trouble the promotion or relegation battles too much.

POTS:

- Sargent

Relegated trio:

- No idea
